Fallout 3 is in development

First time out of the vault
From the IPLY forums:

At Interplay's Annual Meeting Herve Caen stated:
"Going forward, we remain focused on a business plan driven by content, flawless execution, and profitability, as opposed to pure revenue growth at any cost. Key titles are set for release in January, and other high-profile games for consoles and PC are in various phases of planning and development."

Since Interplay have explicitly stated there will not be any ports of the console games to the PC in the foreseeable future. It would be very expensive to start another PC game project, which Interplay is not going to do, for the time being. So the only PC game in development is Fallout 3.

This hasn't been posted on the main site, anyone willing to do this? I don't know what to do with this, it just makes you mad. I want Chris, JE and Damien back...

I want them back too. I'm sure they'll be at various places like here and at maybe Obsidianent.com, which will have forums up soon in Janurary.

So, who's working on it? Elves?

Probably noy. Santa Clause just did the same thing to his elves as Interplay did to Black Isle Studios (See 12-9-03 issue of Weekly World news). Seince Interplay would pay the elves much less then Santa, they wouldn't bother working there.

Now that we have eliminated the last posssable candidates for Fo3 developers post-Black Isle Studios, it appears that there is no possable way Interplay can finnish Fallout 3.

This was already posted on the main page and I'm sorry, but it means nothing. Do you real think any CEO, let alone one like Caen, would actually tell the *truth* at a shareholder's meeting? Ha! Don't be rediculous

Fact is, Interplay fired their entire competent PC RPG staff. If they do any PC games, it'll probably be ports of their console releases.
