Fallout: A hidden piece of my childhood.

Winzier

First time out of the vault
I was about in 4th or 5th grade when this game came out. I remember playing countless hours on it, and loving every bit of the gore, the sex, the awesome turn based action, and the immerse world that you could surround yourself in at the time. How could I forget the countless hours well spent talking to NPC's and finding out what makes each town tick. I played the series, and now only recently have I remembered my past love. How could I have forgotten about Fallout? Only a few days ago was I searching through a forum and noticed talk about Fallout 3 to be coming. I sat in awe, and I went to Interplay's site...They'd went down under and I felt that deep deep pain, my childhood was based from that very game, and all the other games I played from then on never set the foundation like that one had. I am 18 now, and it is 2007. 1997-1998 was a very long time. I wish I would've at that age joined in making a fan based website. Though I went on and forgot about Fallout. Now that I have this memory back, I will not forget Fallout. I installed Fallout 2 and played all day. And to Fan Bases like "No Mutants Allowed" I give you my deepest thanks. Because only you guys made it possible for Fallout 3. Only the fans made Fallout live on. It may be that Bethesda could do a horrible job, but if they can make the fallout legend live on I hope they do their best in perserving all the pieces that made up fallout, the way Interplay did it. The customer creation, the future retro ads, the posters, the amazing interface, the amazing content and plot, and all the nasty violence and sexuality that made Fallout, Fallout.

I just wish I could've at that age stuck with Fallout, but now that I have it again, Im pouring my attention into Fallout.

Ever heard of FOPOS? Interplay eventually fucked up, so don't thank them.

I cant say Ive heard of FOPOS. I do understand that they did eventually fuck things up, but at the time I appreciated the artwork and the game itself.
