heh i remember once on a school camp looking out the bus windows at signs that read "arroyo 50km" , i'm delusional 8)
 
Actually, isn't Arroyo a real town in the state of Oregon/Washington? I know at least some of the locations in the Fallout games are named after real-life counterparts in their respective locations.

I don`t remember the state but yes, you`re right.
 
I'm pretty sure Klamath Falls is a real location in the US. Noticed it while flying from Europe to Mexico on the classic display screen which indicates the airplane's location and the closest ground radar capable of tracking the progress of your flight. It showed up a circle in either northern CA or southern Oregon, anyways pretty much where it's supposed to be in the Fallout universe.

Besides, I don't think there's only ONE Arroyo in California. Arroyo means "creek" in Spanish. California was part of Spain for a long time, and the first spanish settlers, not surprisingly, named their towns either using the local topography or after some religious figure.
