Fallout demo

don't know if he acctually started moving the demo to fallout 2 but he did check if it was possible. I could be wrong tho

I am almost done applying new protos, and if I can get the text to work and place it on the worldmap it will be its own town. The problem is that the game is scripted to end when you complete some certain objectives.

Can't you just either remove that part of the script, or simple leave out 1 of the triggering objectives?

::edit:: ::wrong topic:: whooops serious mistake on mu part sorry :(

lemme see if I can fix this. So anyone still working with the demo as a town in fallout?

Heres a little secret. Project: BNW may see the light of day again and scrapheap may make an appearance or two. Dont expect anything soon though.

In other words, thats a big yuppers there, mate.

When I bring a companion along his text is small and green but everyone else is big and brown. It may have something to do with how the dialog was scripted, but I am not sure. This is the biggest problem so far, because if I am right I will have to decompile every script and change it.

Well its still readable. Sure green looks better but if its to much work, brown text will do.

So you acually managed to put the demo in f2. or just a small part?

And I love seeing B&W to get finished

It is readable, but you can no longer scroll down so you are stuck with a very limited amount of words at a time.

I managed to place the whole thing in there and complete it multiple times. Just the text and the prototypes are messed up and the leader of the fools has some dialog issues.

Giving this topic a little bump. Maybe this might be interesting for Fallout 1 Fixt as an optional feature?

The demo was already a part of MegaMod. I'm not sure if it's still is because it was a bit buggy

Ahh thats good to hear. I must admit that I never did get far in the mega mod. I always waited until the final version would come out. But stll, maybe scrapheap deserves to be in FO1 aswell ?

Tbh I felt it was a bit weak. More of a cool easter egg than interesting quest area. There was only a handful of npc's and one quest. It caused my game to crash alot too.
