Fallout Dev's, where are they now?

First time out of the vault
I was doing my daily pass of all the gaming blogs and came upon this:

http://www.joystiq.com/2008/06/30/wwi08-lore-and-art-in-diablo-3/

Since when has Leonard Boyarsky worked for blizzard? And world Designer for Diablo 3? That's great! That news just made that game even better in my eyes.

I think I remember a post a long time ago about the various devs, but it would be nice to have a "where are they now" reference somewhere. Maybe as an expanded part of the Dev Profile section that is already in place.

(originally put this in fallout general but figured it belonged here)

Since he left Troika, pretty much.

Quite a few guys from the Fallout staff are working at Blizzard, including Gary Platner and Eddie Rainwater (all artists).

We're not really going to do a where-are-they-now. For most developers people don't care or you can check on Mobygames, for the rest it's too much of a pain to find out or look it up. For interested parties it's usually not that hard to figure out who is where - at least for the bigger names for whom this is all known (except Jason Taylor).

I still remember the day when MSFD (I think) said Tim Caine was at NCsoft. He said it as it everybody knew but the thing was that nobody really knew :P

And Jason Taylor worked in Hellgate, right? At least that's what says in mobygames. What he actually DOES is a completely different matter :P

There's a lot of Jason Taylors. Mobygames tends to get really confused when people have the same name. They only just recently split Mark Morgan the composer from Mark Morgan the artist, until a while ago those two pages were fused.

Tim Cain's at Carbine now. But yeah the NCSoft thing was a surprise. Not by coincidence, tho', Cain's very deliberately withdrawn from the public's eye.

Hurray Leonard Boyarsky (talking about expanding the roleplaying experience)

God, I guess it's kind of magic. How the hell do these people, working in completely different projects, still manage to light a little candle of hope and warmth everytime I hear from them? Even in the light (shadow?) of what's happening to Fallout, these guys... boy, what I'd give to give those guys a handshake...

Heh.

I still regret not being able to take Jason Campbell up on his offer for a face-to-face interview. It would be fun.

Maybe for Fallout's 20-year anniversary I can do a tour through America to do face-to-faces with the big-name devs :P

EDIT: and we still need to organize Chris Taylor's Massive Fallout Fan Barbecue.

This should be placed in Berlin, Germany, because this is the best place on earth, I bet. :salute:

Besides, it's Europe, the continent with the biggest number of fallout fans from what I know... If the devs were there, I'd surely figure out a way to travel there to hang out... that's for sure.

This is not related to our Website, and should have been posted in the Gaming forum.

*dies of a heart attack in contemplation of the sheer awesome that would cloud the entire area surrounding the barbeque*
