First time out of the vault
New to the forums, huge Fallout fan. I downloaded the Fixt patch and I saw that it included the first Interplay patch in it. I had read that this patch is supposed to give the option to disable the day limit. I would love to be able to disable that pesky limit because I'm a thorough player and I simply don't wish for that to be hanging over my head. Does the Fixt patch in fact disable this limit or is there something else I need to do? Thanks!

The Interplay patch doesn't disable the day limit (any of them), it disables mutant invasions. The only day limit you can disable is the 13 years limit, through sfall. The water chip's one would probably involve modifying the scripts and would completely screw up the experience of having to save the vault, IMO.

I don't think any patch disables the day limit.
And to my knowledge, Fixt doesn't diseble it either.

You would probably need separate mod for this.

But still, I replay the game now in 'legitimate way' (playing it as if I didn't know where to look for the chip etc.), and basicly something around 150 days still left, when I delivered the chip...

The only thing that you can alter while installing Fixt is mutant invasion timer. You can set it default, longer or not install it at all (so there will be no mutant invasion after longer period of time).

Ohhhhhhhhh ok. Well thanks for the info. Glad that mess has been cleared up. Now I can just move forward. Thanks again.

Hello acthornt,

The most recent version of FIXT does allow you to customize or delete the time limit :)

Cheers
