Fallout-ish Items etc.

Mildly Dipped
I posted some pix of my new Micro Sten in the Gun Owners threat in General Discussion.

So here are my Pix. I bought this firearm because it looked like something from the fallout world.

Anyone have or know of any items that would fit well into the Fallout universe (for Video Games or Pen and Paper games)?

My hand me down tube radio (Hammarlund) Looks like it fits fallout. Then again, it was built in 1950...

awesome!

Geiger counters are always neat.

I wonder how it would look with one of those duct taped to a weapon or on an an arm for someone who did not have a pip-boy?

Probably not very good, they're about the size of a very large paperback book and weigh three times as much (pretty thick metal, I'd say close to five pounds). It would be like taping a small laptop to your arm.

Kind of reminds me of The Bastard Gun from Metro 2033.

Its similar in that it feeds from the side, but in metro 2033, the bastard gun uses some sort of stripper or feed strip rather than a spring fed magazine (from what I could tell any way)

Here is what my gun looked like before it was chopped up (for importation purposes)

I also have some fallout looking cameras, but I do not have photos of them.

But I did do a Fallout RPG for a while (gurps ruleset, which is very close to the special rule set) and I had some photos for the game.

Did you do the chop job? If so, good work, nice result
If not, nice find and good on the maker

back to the subject, I am a bottle cap collector and coca cola collector so both fit in! I'm a male sierra petrovita.

That's not my radio but the same model, I don't have a decent camera. Well...

But as I say it wouldn't be useful for posting a pic :p.

I love all this old stuff, got my folks to take me around some nearby antique shops a few weeks ago to find something for my 18th birthday. Aside from a radiogram but it couldn't play 33 LPs so I couldn't get it :(. When I have a place of my own I can hoard as much old and useless stuff as I want.

I did not do the chop job (MK Gun Mods in AL did it)
I like the bottle cap collection, I could imagine sorting them looking for Nuka Cola or Sunset Sarsaparilla caps....

Question, would Bottle Caps of any type be "legal tender" in FO, or just specific types?

It is established at Nuka Cola caps are used from coast to coast and that Sarsaparilla caps are used in the NV desert...

Would beer caps be used? How about local soda caps? (we have Faygo and Jones cola here + Town club soda.

Would it be reasonable to say that Nuka would be 1:1 and other types might be 1:5 etc. with Nuka being on top?

My late grandfather dabbled in all these "retro" stuff when he was younger...or so I've heard. Don't know what happened to all of that.

I've got an old wooden radio tho, but not like the one Enclave posted. Got a few other stuff, but nothing special really.

I would be interested in seeing anything you would like to see in Fallout (even if you don't own it).

I found some pix of Korean and Chinese MREs... those would look good scattered about in the capitol wasteland.

What about other more regional items?

No they wouldn't, it's bad enough you are able to eat 200 year old food let alone fine foreign MRE's in the former American capital. It was bad enough to find that shitty group of remnants maybe one yes but a whole army I don't think so, I can just about accept the weapons as they would have been brought home as souvenirs and they might have survived as a weapon is useful but not another 200 year old food item.

I posted this a while back, was in our living room in NJ before we moved, we sold it to some guy who wanted to refurbish it.
