Fallout-like games which you enjoy

Telltale games aren't RPGs though? Also I definitely see Borderlands as the logical conclusion of Fallout under Bethesda. The franchise is just gonna slowly metamorphose into Borderlands. Like, it's already almost there after Fallout 4. They just need to remove dialogue options.
And have actual good combat and humor. And as much as it pains me to say it fallout 4 is the most poorly written game I have ever played so they gonna need better writers too If they ever hope to reach borderlands quality.

Sorry, I just feel similarly about Borderlands haha. Complete garbage writing and gunplay, not worth my time. I'm really picky about comedy games and FPS's, and it falls just on the side of annoying and grindy instead of funny and engaging. I'm not saying Fallout 4 is better, just... Yeah.

Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines comes to mind.

I was never able to get into Borderlands. It took the worst parts of MMOs and put a really shitty shooter on top of it. No thanks.

How can there be two pages without a mention of Underrail? It's an isometric tactical RPG with it's own post-apocalyptic setting. Indie dev, originally one guy, now a small team. The combat is great, but unforgiving. There are a lot of viable character builds, but it's possible to play through a fair amount of the game before you realize your character won't cut it.

Anyway, the original Fallouts were a big source of inspiration for the game. It doesn't offer the same quality of writing or level of NPC interaction as the originals, but it does have a coherent story and a unique post-apoc world.

Neo-Scavenger
is a post-apocalyptic survival/crafting RPG. Hex-based isometric overland movement with text and picture pop-ups for events. Oh yeah, and permadeath. Great reviews, popular with the old-school RPG crowd. It's on both gog and steam.

Since Troika was mentioned via VtM: Bloodlines, I'm going to bring up Dead State: Reanimated as well. Brian Mitsoda (ex-Troika & Oblivion) is the lead dev. It's another turn-based survival RPG, but in a zombie apocalypse setting.

Hey, i said Borderlands just for setting and apparently, the FIFA to Fallout PES in the future

Surprised no one has mentioned Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel.

Solid gameplay, story, graphics. Sure there aren't as many family-related plot devices and super cool Mass Effect factions, but it's still a solid entry into the franchise, and worthy of my 8.4/10 rating.

It's the closest thing to Bethesda's iterations in the series (one could well say it's more of a sibling than a distant cousin), so it should be somewhat well regarded by the series' current core audience.

If we ditch the post-nuclear setting with 50s vibes (fuck you Bethesda Game Studios), the closest franchise be, with paying extra detail to the lore and immersion into the world will be CD Projekt's Witcher adaptation and potentionally, Cyberpunk 2077 (tho not so sure about this one). Since these two game franchises based on something already written and established settings, it helps greatly.
The latter actually have more resemblance than one might think since it's a west coast, year 2077 and actual nuke is detonated right in the city game takes place in.
