Fallout Mini Wargame

First time out of the vault
I've been a mini wargaming fan for almost a year now, not able to get that into it due to lack of funds. Anyways, recently I came across Fallout Warefare while I was delving into the deep end of the wiki. I read the short rule book they had, even found the pdf's for the units. Let's just say I was intrigued by the concept that was in the files. It was an interesting idea that took Fallout Tactics onto the tops of tables, and even got some ideas flowing in my head.

While it was all well and good, I was wondering what some of your opinions on if there was a Fallout wargame? With plastic mini's and the such.

There are actually a lot of pro-quality kitbashes and custom sculpts to be found out there on hobby forums (even DeviantArt), and a lot of the artists take commissions. I'm sure that for wasteland skags, critters, and the like, you could probably find well-suited generics from existing miniature lines, too.

Due to host rules and copyright laws a link won't be forthcoming, but I also know of at least one gentlemen out of Russia who sells perfectly sculpted, mass-molded 28mm figurines that bear a striking resemblance to characters from a certain franchise we all know and love. I'm sure there are other figures out there bearing such a resemblance, too. Googling "Fallout miniatures" images is a good start, even if you're just looking for inspiration for do-it-yourself customs.

I've seen them and they are pretty awesome mini's. It's given me some ideas that I will try to use for a custom game with a few friends. Brotherhood of Steel, NCR, Enclave. Is there any good stand-in models for the Legion?

I don't know anything off the top of my head. Googling "Roman Soldier Miniatures" or just "Roman Miniatures" brings up a few good leads, but the problem you run into there is that the Legion are pretty lousy at being Romans, especially vis-a-vis the use of shields, which a lot of Roman mini lines seem designed around. Looks like a lot of companies' Roman offerings have pretty questionable face sculpting, too.

Warlord Games' Hail Caesar collection might be of some use to you, though it'll probably take some digging through the catalog. There are a few sets that look like they would do the trick, if you could content yourself with applying a Legion color scheme to what's plainly more traditional-looking armor.
