Fallout Nevada: New update out!

That's great news! I give much respect to the translators and editors. I hope someone does Olympus 2207 next.

I always wanted to give it a try, but the installer shows unreadable characters and I have no idea how to install it, any advice?

The only available installer at the moment is in Russian. If you have downloaded the translation patch too, there will be a readme folder there that will ALSO tells you exactly what needs to be done to install the Nevada mod. Basically, just keep on clicking 'Yes' on the installer and leave everything at default.

I've been playing some hours, this mod is amazing, congratulations to the team and translators.
The beginning was a bit rough around the edges, but after that it becomes a full-fledged Fallout 2 mod in all its glory.

My main gripe is that most quests/sub-quests don't show up in the pip-boy, I'm thinking of Reno where a lot is going on, but the pip-boy status doesn't really keep track of the quests I've encountered.

Anyway, great work on this mod, I'm glad that after 20 years I'm still able to enjoy a (real) Fallout adventure.

The title might be misleading.
There were no new releases of Fallout Nevada since v1.02, released in 2015. Please, don't mix up the translation project with the mod itself.

Hello,
Could someone tell what is needed to finish the Mayor's quest in Vegas?
I found a russian wiki but it's a bit messy.

You need to get all the receipt from every head honchos across Vegas. If it wasn't on their inventory, then it could be on their safe. You need Steal, obviously, or you can trick them by using radios.
Tbh, I think this quest is kinda convoluted. We do get a clue that power players across the city wanted a share of that dam money (all pun intended), but how are we supposed to know that can be an 'evidence' that the Mayor needed?

This is what I have.
- Slaver receipt
- Tom Parker's receipt
- O. Davis Receipt
- Receipt from Kennel

I also have a holodisk "dirt on H Wallis" but that's it.

I also have a symbol (round polished stone I got in Wind of War), I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with it.

As far as I know, you have all you needed. Perhaps you need to ask around some more? Have you visited Hoover Dam and exhaust the dialogue options with Bob Neal?
Will this mod includes Vegas? (and iconic FNV buildings?)
There is Vegas, but no iconic FNV buildings since it takes place 30-40 years-ish after the Great War. There's only the Fabulous New Vegas sign, the huge boards that walled a section of the city, and also Hoover Dam, but that's it.

By then Lucky38 has not yet been rebuilt???
And didn't you notice a casino vault numbered 21 there?

If we're going by New Vegas canon, the Lucky 38 (and the rest of Las Vegas) doesn't really need rebuilding since the main buildings are pretty much intact. And New Vegas confirmed that pretty much most of the Mojave landscape were untouched by the Great War.

But no, no Lucky 38 nor Vault 21 are accessible in Las Vegas of Fallout of Nevada. My guess would be that the Lucky 38 is located in the section inaccessible by our character, and Vault 21 is still closed. Or that their existence is irrelevant to the plot made by the author, so they don't bother including them in the mod.

I have been doing my best to follow this translation and I have two questions.
1) When the translation is complete, will there be somewhere where I can easily download it? Cause right now I have to dig through the forums.
2) Is this mod easy to understand? I have read some comments that the quests in this mod are convoluted and don't make sense. I am not sure if this is because of translation or because the mod is purposefully meant to be harder than 1 and 2.

There's really no need to dig the forums. It's in NMA's Downloads section.

The latter. The mod is obviously weaker when it comes to writing and narrative, but quest designs beat that of Fallout 1&2's by a thousand miles. You really need to pay attention to what NPCs are saying and what's written in holodisks and item's description.

Or perhaps we can admit it's actually a mix of both; not only the mod was made to be much, much harder than 1&2, the fact that the translation isn't 100% polished could also contribute to apparent convolution in the quests and story.

Thank you. I am still getting used to site layout, so I didn't know that was a thing. I'll also make sure to have a notepad with me once I eventually get around to playing this.
