Fallout: New Vegas patch 1.2 out on Steam

Before the patch you really have to work to own a non-faction power armor.

Actually, it was absurdly EASY to get some. After you meet Hardin for the very first time, you can follow him to the rooms next to the Elder. There, if you approach him when he opens the door, you can enter, grab power armor and leave scot free.

Hell Ranger armor was also very easy to get early on near Novac.

Just watched my girlfriend trying to complete Bye, Bye Love with her PC version. Every time she finishes the dialogue, Joanna and her boyfriend run back toward the gate (in their disguises) and try to fight the Securitrons that my girlfriend is (technically) in control of.

It's madness.

Yeah, sniper rifle was too powerful. I'll post a new roundup of Sawyer posts today, some of them explaining the rebalancing choices.

Well I was not thinking in stealing...

But that power armor in his quarters is a T-51b non-faction? Because finding a BoS T51-b is easy, but you can't use it in front of the NCR, for example.

This patch came out just in time for me to be bored with the game! Good job Obsidian and Bethesda!

Same here, I've no real interest to do another play through with the patch

Lucky me then. I've only completed one playthough and started a second. I made a mistake selecting a Perk and was going to restart but decided to wait until the patch came out. Of course, the wait was much longer than I had anticiapted, but the new patch and - depending on the reviews - the DLC are arriving just in time for me to start a new playthrough over the holidays.

.. which is precisely why I popped in Fallout 2 over the last few months and waited on New Vegas until today.
