Fallout: New Vegas Retrospective

First time out of the vault
By popular demand from you guys and other people, I decided to follow up my Fallout Series Retrospective with the much needed history of New Vegas that I mistakenly left out of the first video. Thanks to you all for showing me the light and I hope this video represents the game well. Be gentle though, the video is intended for new players and casual fans of the series so might not be as thorough as you all would expect. At any rate, let me know what you think! :)

I didn't expect a Fallout Retrospective free DLC.

I don't know if the absence of FoNV caused too much troubles outside NMA circle, but it seemed that you got in the opposite direction this time by mentioning most of the things that FoNV factually brought back, (without going into controversial stuff like writing depth) everything in a very few minutes, with a lot of nice pictures/videos. Out of curiosity, is everything from advertizing material ? I totally missed the period of release of those games. (not a day one buyer, for most games)

Anyone else thinking this material belongs in the- oh, I dunno -best RPGs reviews submission forum? =D

That area could use some nice material dedicated to a couple obvious titles.

EDIT: Pretty good video, if short. Though considering it simply focused on one game, that's understandable. My only criticisms were that I noticed a few instances where a lack of "takes" was present in the recording process for the video's narration. Multiple takes and editing used to seamlessly integrate these disparate recordings can lead to a much more solidly paced video, and verbal slip ups cease to be an issue. Just my two cents.

Thanks Naossano! I did get a bit of flak from some outside of NMA as well so I looked into it and realized I'd made a mistake not talking about it. Most of it is from advertizing stuff like official trailers and Bethesda's Making Of videos but some of it is also gameplay footage and Caedo Genesis' awesome Unique Weapons video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kM_9M-WgAG0)

Thanks Snapslav, I'll take that as a huge compliment! :)

Gave an edit to my thoughts with more constructive feedback and criticisms for you to mull over. In case you missed that.

In the "Fallout 2" section you're showing footage from Razlo's house in Fallout 1. And the "plants and harvesting" system was around in Fallout 2, (broc flowers and xander roots), which is where they got the inspiration for that, not from Bethesda's games. And like you pointed out yourself, the footage is almost completely taken from other videos.

I think you should try playing these games for yourself before trying to make videos that do them justice. This video told me nothing that I couldn't glean from the blurb on the back of the box.
