Any people familiar with Fallout PnP or PnP RPGs in general here? I'm looking for a few good men to... Well, let's just say it's going to be interesting if enough are found.

I've played Fallout with three different rule sets. The SPECIAL pnp, GURPS, and Exodus d20 (seriously, just change the names back to what they where originally intended and there you go.) Even though the exodus game lasted the longest, it seems the general consensus that GURPS was the most fun to play. Exodus is alright, but d20 is generally very clunky when used in any other field besides fantasy. The SPECIAL system as it is was just to much work to play a good game with. Way too many instances when a general rule wouldn't apply and you would just have to wing it. Some GM's like that style, I'm not particular fond of it. GURPS was the easiest to play, but that's just how good GURPS is. There are plenty of resources out there that convert Fallout to GURPS and anything else was easily found by browsing and asking questions on forums.

And to answer your original question, as to not go to off-topic, it depends on what rule system you want to use :). I would be willing to try SPECIAL under someone else's rule but unless you've played in the past and have your own house rules, be prepared for games to crawl to a halt more than what's normally desired.

Well I have never played the Fallout PnP, I play Shadowrun sporadically with my friends but I would like to play it if it can be done online.

Does this Fallout PnP have those cool little metal figurines like D&D. I can imagine the towns being built from Fallout's game art transferred onto cardboard cutouts. Please excuse my ignorance. 8-)
