well if you've set your carry weight to 99999, we're in the realm of cheating now :p
and since we're here why don't you just replace that carry-lots-weght method with the no-weight-check method in the first place..

go open up your ddraw.ini and replace valu of "CritterInvSizeLimitMode=" from whatever it was to 4 and also "CritterInvSizeLimit="
from whatever it was to 2000000000 that's two american billion or 2kkk.
this way you and your npcs will only be checked for item size instead of item weight, and limit is 2kkk, the item weight is checked only for items in the item slots, like armor, left hand and right hand items, so likely you'll never get passed what is available for your character. item size is always a smaller amount tnan item weight, and skipping the weight check might help you avoid Nevada Band traps set for cheaters ( this also helps avoid certain weight checks in order to travel tov the DLC area and back)..
This carry weight is also applied to your NPCs though they'll not travel to DLC anyways, yet they can carry lots of other useful items (in other fallouts it helps to cary ammo, though in sonora ammo doesn't weight nuffin, since it's divided into single units like 1x bullet
Thanks, it's working like a charm so far. Both the caravan from Two Suns to the BoS base and the Dayglow one let me through without me having to empten out my bottomless pockets. Excellent.

Thanks! And as to your question, no, I did not translate the design document. However, as it is background info I did read it through, using a quick, dirty google translate. That was sufficient to get the info I needed.
 
Hey, I’m stuck trying to download the Sonora ENG DLC script, about halfway through, the download just up and quits thanks to a “Interrupted: Network Error". I have downloaded tons of stuff, never had this problem, so i'm somewhat perplexed as to what the root cause of this problem might be. Though what might be notable; my Internet is abysmal, even though i live in one of the most developed cities in one of the most developed countries (Germany), our government is and has been so dysfunctional, no, borderline retarded, that I'm stuck with 450 - 600kb/s (and a future of emigration). But political rants out of the way, what could cause this problem?

I'm kinda still struggling right now though... do i need to have fallout 2 to play fallout sonora? i have followed the intructions on your website as best i could (I am a modding illiterate). This is my game folder: 1. BIS_Mapper 2. data 3. Fallut_Sonora_DLC_1_15 4. mods 5. sonora_eng_DLC_script 6. critter.dat 7. fallout2.cfg 8. fallout2-ce-x64.exe 9. FSonora.exe 10. log_develop.txt 11. log_fix.txt 12. master.dat 13. readme.txt The game does not start like this, so what I tried is; copying the insides of the Folders 3. and 5. into the directory and replacing all files that are double. That made the game run, but in a weird way. there was no access to the screen settings and when i started a new game i was able to see about 1/10 of the normal gameplay screen, i was basically very zoomed in into my character.
 
You do not need Fallout 2 to run Sonora. Replacing files manually from your F2 folder will probably just mess things up.

What error were you seeing when you launched "fallout2-ce-x64.exe"? (I'm assuming you're on window)

That really depends. There were three ways I tried to launch the game: firstly, with the aforementioned folder, which did not work at all. After clicking 'fallout2-c-x64.exe' it instantly crashed and I recall seeing absolutely nothing, no error message. Once though, something sprang up along the lines of "No Fallout CD," yada yada; can't remember the whole thing. The two other ways I launched the game actually worked... sort of. Once, after manually extracting folders 3 and 5 into the install directory (where `FSonora.exe` is located – as far as I know, that is the install directory), the game launched, but it launched in the aforementioned screwed-up state. Then I tried renaming `patch000.dat` to `patchDLC.dat`. Saw there was another `patchDLC.dat`, deleted that, and launched the game via `FSonoraDLC.exe`. Same thing: it started, but it was still screwed up.
