Fallout Tactics Multiplayer Problem...

First time out of the vault
Hello there. I have a problem with multiplayer on FoT.

So my girlfriend got the trilogy pack for me for Christmas, and I've been playing since. Anyway, me and my brother noticed that there's multiplayer and the fact that we don't need the DVD-Rom to play. I also let my girlfriend borrow it, since you don't need it to play on. My brother and I wanted to play multiplayer LAN, so we did. It worked out... Alright; it was only a tiny bit better than when me and my girlfriend want to play. At my house we have a 2Wire modem. It is both a modem and a router for other ethernet connections, and also supports wireless. Two of the desktops (I'm on currently, my latest HP. Windows 7) are connected right by the modem. I'm wireless at the moment while the older HP is connected with the ethernet cable. I also have a 360 connected right next to the modem, and multiple computers connected wirelessly. The point is my problem; For some reason, me and my girlfriend cannot play online. I've used gamespy for a very long time now (about 10 years), which is still crap today, especially with fallout. We created the room and launched. Whenever one of us hosted, the person trying to join always got a black screen. I'm not sure if it's the black screen issue, but I doubt it because we can both load FoT manually (clicking the icon, etc). So after a few attempts, we tried to do it manually with the IP address. I hosted, and gave her my IP. When she tried to connect, it failed, so she hosted instead, and I tried, and it failed. I went around other forums (such as this one) and researched a little bit. I found Hamachi to be the most interesting, so I used the program. It finally brought us success, and we could play together whenever we wanted. The problem though, my modem always reset during the game. Hell, it even resets when I click the multiplayer button, or during character creation. It gets quite annoying, as I have to exit the program, reset and connect everything (we use Skype to communicate, unless she's next to me), and then I'd have to open the game up again and host. The periods of time varies from not even a game, to a few games. We really want to enjoy the game on multiplayer, but my damn modem keeps resetting itself. I'm not sure why either, I assumed it had to do something with the firewalls, but I've been working with that already. I even opened the ports and what not, and I still don't know what's up. My modem doesn't reset itself this often. It does happen every once in awhile, but whenever I play FoT on multiplayer, it just keeps on resetting...

Again, I run on a HP Windows 7 Computer. My brother runs on an older HP Windows XP, and my girlfriend runs on Mac (uses bootcamp to play PC games on Windows XP). All 3 games work perfectly fine for us (I had to get the resolution patch). I think it's more of my modem that's causing the problem, but I can't seem to find a solution. If you have any suggestions, that'd be great. Thanks.
