As corny as it sounds, ditto. Mostly in the M* area and playtesting. EXTENSIVE playtesting experience. Through this, I have numerous contacts into several companies.

Stuka, since they have turned ad hominem, I'm about three seconds away from locking this thread because it's going nowhere. Demonstrable and evident proof is one thing, but he's resorting to the "I like this game, so you should as well", "I don't want to hear what you have to say, so shut up" and "I'm here to just pick fights" schools of gaming arguments. As for the last one, it's quite clear. If he didn't want to see people expressing quite validly their views, then he doesn't have to read them. Simple as that, though perhaps too obvious a concept. For a while, I had a red sign on this board before you'd enter that said "'This game suxors' and 'This game roxors!' posts with no other information inside would be deleted". So far, everyone with the exception of one, has done that. They have been quite free to express why they liked the game, or why they disliked it. The only times it's gotten ugly was when it's turned into ad hominem or when someone is shouting that the 'whiners' should shut up, despite the rather accurate fact that it is they who are whining about how other express themselves and give reasons why they are experiencing dis/satisfaction. Whining is "I don't like this", and just that - no reasons. Whining is also "I don't like those who bash this game" and just that.

Mr. Prez, if you wish to censor people, do so on your own board.

Roshambo - the reply was intended for ElPrez, you and me appear on the same ball...

I still play FOT and will play it until I get through the story but ONCE! Because, in the industry, we call it "Replay Value" - no pun intended for those who know what it is (it's 4 lil kids like ElPrez). Replay Value - how many times will a gamer replay the game over and how many times can a game be played to achieve different storylines. Fallout series - almost endless. JA series - as well. Fallout tactics - once or MAYBE twice in a harder mode and different character, but story is the same! Outcome is the same!

Agreed, and that's why I was like "This is getting boring, and like arguing with a brick." My post was a little 'me-too'-ish, but it's basically outlining what they were doing and why it's so fustrating dealing with people like that (and explaining for any onlookers why things happen). Then with a little side-note to Prez.

As I've said before, it lacks the soul of Fallout and it is bereft of anything that's common in tactical games today. If only some of these people would have experience with tactical games like X-Com or JA2, then they may understand. Otherwise it's akin to the "Well...I've never played a FPS before, but Daikatana is so kewl!" arguments, which is quite saddening. It's like watching someone eat dog food while there's filet mingnon available on the menu.
