Fallout tactics save game editor?

Fallout Tactics - Inventory Editor?

well.. title kinda sums it up.. is there, or has there ever been made an editor with the option to directly edit the inventory of characters in saved games?

if there is, and if it possible, do link to a place where it could be dowloaded.
 
IIRC, I made one during FOT SP demo days, but that was two HD reformats ago. In any case - did you try all savegame editors in Files section?
 
umm.. one more to go.. not much hope tho.. no one really bothered to make anything that edits inventory.. they're all about stats and skills and godlike chars.
=/

EDIT: ok.. got them all, tried them all.. bosche works, but its char-ed only, all others dont work, and one of them refuses to open the save-game saying sometihng in german, its a char-only editor too tho..
 
i can do it really easliy with just a hex editor, but i'm no programmer and wouldn't have the faintest idea where to start in making a program for it...

and shouldn't this be in the tactics discussion/tech help forum??
sureely a tactics inventory editor comes under tech help??
it's hardly an anouncement either...
 
I don't see why you would need an inventory editor.

FOT's tools do a good enough job as it is. Just open the mission maps, drop the items you want, and repack into a handy .bos file.

Hell, if you really want to, you can create a recruit with all the items on him when he joins.

Of course, there are certain limitations to this, but it works well enough.
 
hmm.. could you give me some links to some basic FoT editing toutorials? because i have absolutely no idea how to use the editor..
 
For FO1, you can use the Cheatboy mod to add items to your inventory; it won't allow you to replace existing items though.
 
Editing FOT savefiles. Possible?

Hi there,

Does anyone know if it's possible to 'edit' the save files of my FOT games? For instance to change the appearance of my character on the screen* and/or to add/remove Perks he has.


*I'm wondering if it's possible to give my character the 'Power Armour without wearing the helmet' look.


Please let me know if I can do this and how. Thanks.
 
I believe there was a very powerful save game editor, with which you could edit savegame variables at will (not just health/strength/ect...).

I used it to change item numbers and such... but I think it could do more. Check around in the FOT d/l section.
 
tried to use the editors specifically, the BOSCHE EDITOR and I keep getting error messages when I try to open one of my saved files. Does it matter that I have the game running on a different hardrive? I don't have it on my C Drive, I have it on my D Drive. This shouldn't matter or should it? Thanks in advance.
