Fallout: The Frontier - Released!

Hey who doesn't want to be evil, right? it just happens for whatever reason games can't let you be evil without being a cartoon caricature like all the other evil characters in the game. Also everybody can sniff out evil from 12 hectares away so you can't even be sneaking insidious evil. just loud mouth asshole levels of evil. but I digress.

Actually reading through this topic because I just ignore mods since I know they are made by a bunch of sex weirdos. It seems I am yet proven right again on that subject. Basing your mod around combat, in the gamebyro engine? Why? I like NV but I go out of my way to break my character to be OP as fuck, because being in a protracted gun fight is not something I find enjoyable. Like no thank you.

Like I was saying earlier, only the purity of the initial release is true. All others are heresy that think they can improve on gods work.

There's some okay ones but yes the majority of mods that try to be gritty or have mature themes generally just come off as creepy. I don't even think that beloved community darling Someguy2000 is particularly exempt from this observation, there's a lot of shit in New Vegas Bounties that is just needless exposition about torture and rape.
 
All that work on the drivable vehicles and no one bothered to think that improving the gun play of a game which everyone agrees has bad combat should be the biggest priority? Especially if you're making a heavy combat focus mod? The technical achievements are impressive but they been focusing on the wrong things.
 
The only real problem with this mod is the weird hentai slavery shit. Design wise everything else is fine imo and the former is really just cringe.

i don't get it either. i thought the mind set for mods was to add things that are missing from the vanilla game. atlest that was someguy2000's mindset when he made new vegas bounties and king of the ring.

or th3overseer who tends to flesh out areas that are lacking like red rock canyon or west side.

I like the Debt Collector quest mod, it's probably the only one that actually feels like it has the same tone as the vanilla game. Someguy's Russell companion mod isn't really that bad either, and it's better balanced and written than his stuff for New Vegas Bounties.

I also really really like Beyond The Boulderdome. It had A LOT of problems but it's the only real instance I can think of where a modern (or team of modders) took lore from Van Buren, which I am disappointed doesn't happen more often.
 
saxxon's quest collection also feels like vanilla content. but it has bad sound quality at times and some npcs arnt voiced.

but he does plan on remaking it this year so those issues will go away.

Charlie is from th3overseer's dephs of depravity mod. it's short for Charlotte.

waifu is just engrish for wife. it's a tounge in cheek term for female characters people really like and want to fuck
