Tozan the Mutant
(I really hope the No Mutants policy is just a nice name)
Character Loadout
Name: Tozan the Mutant
Age: 4 since metamorphosis (25 total)
Appearance: Since Tozan is a Super Mutant, he has a very distinguishable physical appearance. Weighting at 320 lbs. and being 7 ft. 6" tall, Tozan has a pale yellowish green skin tone and short chocolate hair. Unlike most Super Mutants, Tozan has no straps holding his upper lip, which oddly enough doesn't reveal any deformation in his facial features. Tozan is easily differentiable from most mutants because of his straight posture. His apparel consists of a rigged Black T-Shirt with a commercial illustration of an old style comic book astronaut and a pair of hand-me-down knee high grayish blue jeans and walks around bare footed; over his T-shirt, he wears a khaki colored suitjacket.
Faction: As an exiled mutant, Tozan is unable to find a friendly faction to affiliate to, for which he lives his days in an abandoned outpost near a militia compound.
Weapons: An old yet still sharp and dangerous pre-war Tanto called Tozan's Koan and a .50 caliber revolver.
Brief History: A water trader in Michigan, Tozan was once human. He was ambushed near a Vault and turned into a Mutant with a lacking urge to kill, so he was rejected as a Super Mutant and nurtured his new self by reading an old journal he kept in his human days and reading from terminals he fixed with his little human memory on electronics, which he rigged to explode the day of his escape.
Long story (An optional read): Tozan doesn't know about his actual past. He has no memories of his human times, only a journal he used to keep with himself during his 'normal' days. This journal keeps several records letting him know he was once a businessman in charge of several caravaners. Having kept few of his memories, Tozan is at times unable to decrypt the bits of information kept in his records, but knows he was in control of a large trading company in the vicinity of Michigan, supplying water bought from militia outposts to small cities and refugee camps. According to the last entry in his log, he had once appointed to meet with an explorer who had found the location of a vault which was believed to keep a G.E.C.K. in it's inside, which would be extremely helpful for Tozan's trading company and ultimate goal of helping the Michigan Wasteland.
Tozan's first memory was that of being surrounded by large steel monoliths, which, as his eyesight returned, began resembling more and more to Valut machinery. His skin ached and his limbs would barely respond. He looked at himself at the reflection a leak had created in his cell of and was shocked to death to the point he would've carried out his suicidal thoughts given a chance. As days went through, those now alike him would walk through the hallways discussing various issues, including Tozan's kidnapping. A few weeks after his 'turning', his captors would toss live molerats in his cell and expect him to kill them as a response to his primal urges, which he refused to do, as the creatures were wounded and harmless. Instead, Tozan diverted himself by reading entries at the terminals inside his cell, which he had fixed with the rudimentary remnants of his human memories, with which he developed his fondness for philosophy and art. Often, Tozan would find solace in reading his journal, the last bit of humanity left in him.
As days went through, so did weeks and months, and Tozan started hearing his guards talking about how he had "failed the test" and had to be killed. In a leap of faith, Tozan escaped his cell by crafting a bomb from terminal components, and barely managed to fight his way to the Michigan Wasteland, a place of which he kept little to no memories of, and the place where he'd spend the rest of his days.
Tozan now lives in what used to be a militia outpost, presumably raided by Rats or other gangs, intercepting trading caravans and bartering with those who don't flee or shoot with several goods he scavenges from his new home.
