The game plays out like NV where you can join a faction.

50 years after Fallout 3.
The Ceaser Legion retreat the Capitol Wasteland after being attacked numerous times by the ncr.
The NCR decide to follow them leading to a war between factions.
The Enclave return after 50 with a stronger and bigger army, the BoS hear this and attack.
Both wars then come together as one big war. You are a slave, escaped from Paradise Falls. It is up to you to join a faction and take down others that stand in the way.

I think I speak for all of us when I say: Your knowledge of the Fallout canon is seriously messed up.

If you need help with Fallout canon information www.fallout.wikia.com is a good place to start.

The West Coast needs to have as little to do with the East Coast as possible. What Bethsoft needs to do is try and flesh out guys like like the Talon Mercs. and Riley's Ranger, while trying to expand on the lore of the Capital Wasteland. The Enclave has been used way to much already.

Yeah I agree with you, the Enclave really have been re-used to much. It's like there all in the office, just thinking, "I'm not bothered to create more lore, Enclave it again!".

To be honest i'd appreciate a game where they flesh out the Talon Company and Reilly's Rangers. Another thing I think it wrong with Fallout 3 is the BoS in it, I agree FO3 invited losts of new guys to the world of fallout (that's good) because it was more accesible as it was set somewhere completely different. The thing that annoyed me about the BoS was that they were portrayed as the sort of guys who would chase an enemy, and would put a human life over some technology. (This is bad because all of the newbies think that the BoS are god loving, people loving and mutie hating people, whereas they're probablies completely opposite of that (Not the mutie thing, they're probablies more Mutie Rascist than haters).

Rant Over........Phew.

Okay, my thing with the New Bakersfield was messed up, but that was one thing. At least I don't think the NCR and Caesar's Legion travel really far west, but let this not turn into a canon argument, i'm actually going to give some critic to the game idea.

This idea would be good if you set it somewhere else, as the NCR and Caesar's Legion wouldn't travel as far west as that. So you could try and design your own factions, or you could even try to flesh out Talon Company and the Reilly's Rangers likes Gaddes suggested, as I said earlier I thought I would be interested in a game with more Talon Comp. depth.

With a game like this you could also try and set it out like Fallout: Tactics as this game seems like the sort of game that would involve squad recognition and use of tactics, yeah this idea if modified would be a great Fallout: Tactics 2.

Wow, you should work for Bethesda. You managed to combine almost everything most "oldschool fans" hate about Fo3 and New Vegas.
Caesar's Legion. In the Capital Wasteland. Enclave returns. BoS saves the day.
Goddamnit now I have cancer.

Agreed. Most of the reasons why I hate the Capital Wasteland is because it doesn't make a lick of sense most of the times. It only has two real towns, Megaton and Rivet City, and out of those two, Rivet city is the only one that seems to have a way of making food, Hydroponics I believe. No one farms, crops or live stock, and towns are poorly put together. Girdernshade has two freakin' people in it and a Brahmin, now that is a thriving community!

I still think the Captical Wasteland has lots of potential. They just need to flesh the new factions out. The Talon Mercs. seem to be pretty well organized, with good weapons, and armor, but sadly they simply attack you on sight. They'd be much more interesting if you could talk with or even join them. Same goes for Riley's Rangers, and while they don't attack on sight, they are just there for no reason.

Indeed. The Enclave needs to just stay dead. The Remnants need to just settle in with the rest of the Wasteland and leave it at that, but I know that won't happen, because ED-E mention Enclave forces in Chicago, which is beyond wtf.
