The upcoming Fallout 2 mod called Fallout Yurop have posted a small update on their project and their forums:<blockquote>Urgh.... still... undead... more embalming fluid pleaseeee... urg urghhh.

I am REALLY looking forward to this mod. That probably means it'll never come out :( That custom art with the retro-scifi moonlander is damn impressive.

Er...wait, hackers, what? Why the hell do idiots do that crap? Ruining the work of people who do this stuff in their free time... ugh. Wastes of flesh.
 
I think each Fallout mod team should make their art and code open source. We would all benefit from this. If they were trying to make money off these mods, then I could understand their reluctance to make the work open source, but surely we can all agree that an open fallout development community would mutually benefit all teams involved.

I hope the guys can recreate at least some of what they lost and get over it.
 
They were hacked? The most promising-looking Fallout mod was HACKED? What has this world come to :cry:...

Those screens look great. The sand around the shuttle-thing is a bit different from the regular one, otherwise great. Keep it up :)!
 
I remember time when my harddrive broken and lost my new mod "Outdoorsnam" but i dont worry and start build something new (that you can see in this link beneath \/ \/ \/ )
 
Yeah that is annoying about hackers. I have been waiting for this awesome looking mod for awhile. You just have to understand the category of hacker usually in the sense of 'lets take down a message board' is a early teenager with a tiny penis and no girlfriend. So they have a complex of why the world has cursed them with a tiny penis and a lot of time on their hands because they don't actually try to get a girlfriend, let alone have one. Seriously why would any true hacker waste his time deleting a message board?
 
Man...this just keeps getting better and better. Mutants Rebellion, Dark Steel, Fanmade Fallout, and Fallout Yurope are far advanced and very promising.

Ive never been happier to be a Fallout fan. Also considering all the work they've put into it I'll be playing the equivalent of a retail game and for that fun I would be willing to pay. Though the mod's will most likely be free I'd just "donate" around $20-$30 for one since that's what I'd pay in a store...though anything store bought would be nowhere near as involving.

1. Scratch FO3
2. Sign with the makers of FO: Yurop, FMF, Burżuazja etc.
3. ...?
4. Profit!
 
Im curious, how many of these Mods have actually been any good??
 
Well the thing is, I believe there has never before been a mod as large-scale as the ones being worked on now. None that saw the light of day, anyway. Even FMF and Yurop have been going on for several years now.
 
Thats the problem though.No one has ever finished such a ambitious mod.I hope they are completed some day....
 
The problem with fanmade mods is that everyone working on them does not get paid. This results in less productivity and things go on very slowly, because in order to do something for a project, a person needs to cut back his leisure time.
However, as a member of Fanmade Fallout, i can assure you that our game will be completed. It may not be tommorow, but we have a very solid team that will get the job done eventually.
