Fallout's 10th anniversary: Inside the Vault Q&A

Aside from the bloody mess, there were some nice answers. At least so many of them played FOs.

It's like a new running-joke at beth's
"Yo, Todd, what the hell I'm supposed to say if I've never played Fallout?
Don't worry dude, neither have I. Just say 'bloody mess' or some shit."

+1 I think the only time I selected bloody mess was my first play-through of Fallout.
Interestingly, mine was the last time I played... Just to check the alternate ending.

So? It's not like all the devs answered the Q&A... -_- Woodward didn't...

Anyway, yeah, there are some nice answers, but most of them are not. At all. And this one is pure gold by showing how stupid he is and how much he actually understands about what fans complain about...

OMG. What does he think? That we are stupid? That we just hate the word "immersion" no matter the way it's applied? Oh my gosh... -_-

Not to mention that intern going on about 'technological limitations'. Surely that non-argument has been discarded by now.

While a bunch of them said "I LIKED KILLING EVERYONE!! YAY!!", not a single person said "I liked the combat" or "I loved the combat system". Not a peep. I find that a little hard to believe if all of these people did indeed play the game. Mayhap there was a list of no-no's including the words "kids", "children", "isometric", and "turn-based".

Though, granted, there is this:

Some Fucking Intern said:
Since the game was a turn based and a isometric style, this gave me the creative freedom to imagine the action in a cinematic experience with my own imagination and immersing me in the game even with the technology at that time could not convey this.

Poor we, who had to larp Fallout to enjoy it. Thank god they're fixing that.

This is one of those moments where your hope your joke isn't factual. :|

look at some of those games on the gaming mags top 10/20/25 lists for TOP RPGs of all time. now actually sit down and play them.

Play those games where Japanese spike-haired preteens save the world and involve in romantic situations?

Then make that "PC gaming mags" to rule out the console crapanese games.

BTW, I noticed that I referred incorrectly to Bloody Mess as a perk instead of a trait. Let the flames begin :P

As for the Bloody Mess ending, you can get that a couple other ways, too, according to Per's walkthrough. Having a negative kharma should be one of them.

Wait, why would you get flamed for mixing up a perk and a trait? :P

Anyway, er.. I've got the ending by simply holding A after the dialog was over. I even waltzed out of the Vault 13 caverns. The game was indeed over; but I was still allowed to play. If I ever went back to Vault 13 however, the ending movies were instantly triggered. :D
