FAN ART BOS Girl

First time out of the vault
Hi everyone, this is my first time post in this forum. I'm planning to do a Fallout-related comic and I want to show some of my drawings to check for feedback. Maybe I'll post some character designs later.

I'm still not sure which universe my comic should based on the original Interplay's Fallout series or Bethesda's Fallout 3.

Actually, I like Fallout 1&2 more than F3. But I'm also interested to make a side story of Billy Creel and Maggie; how they REALLY met and their relationship. Maybe the comic will start 12 years after F3.

Hmmm....let's back to the fan art.

This is a fan art tribute to the super-classic Fallout 1 and 2. In this picture is a woman in a BOS power armor holding an AK47 assault rifle. She was standing on the hill (you're not gonna see it because I was too lazy to draw) in the morning with no helmet. If I have time, I might add background. :)

At first, this character was designed to be a dead ex-girlfriend of Billy.

Enjoy.

Thanks for the feedback "Member of Khans". I agree with you, that kind of art-style is the majority in the internet. It's inevitable. But still beautiful in its own way. :)

About the AK, you and "Sorrow" are right. I should have a real AK photos as an sample before start drawing, that explains why it looks...weird. Do you think the Chinese assault-rifle in F3 was developed from AK? IMO, they look similar.

The power armor also, I drew it from what I could remember. Unfortunately, the only thing I could remember about T51-B are the shoulder parts. Next time I'll do more research, thanks.

Anyway, everyone is welcomed to give an opinion about my upcoming (unnamed) Fallout comic. :D

Lotsa lines, lotsa blurs. Lotsa confusion. Decide which part of your piece is the most important.

Still, not bad at all, for a draw-newb. So draw more. Lotsa more. You're in a good direction, but this drawing is below-par. More.

And AK's and Trash Golem armor are not Fallout :P

Thanks for the comment, Wooz. I've been in this board for a while and I see that your comments are direct-to-the-point and constructive. I like that. :D I'll practice more like you said. I wish one day I'll be as good as you.

Actually, this picture was drew on a notebook by a pencil. If you see closely, you'll notice lines that I tried to remove. I also have some artworks on http://saubertds.deviantart.com. You guys are welcomed to check out and leave some comments also.

Very nice, your style is real spiffy. I personally would make the power armor more big and bulky, but thats just me.

I, and I'm sure everyone else, would love to see more. Go, create your comic, I would love to see it. :D

Here're thumbnails of people that will appear in my F-comic.

Harden Simms, in 20 years later. After the dead of his dad, he has relied on drug ever since.

Maggie - Harden's ex-girlfriend. I don't know why but I always think that she is Indian-American. Maybe because of her skin color in game.

After Billy has disappeared, she has tried so hard for years to find him. But every trails she found, may lead to the truth about what really happened to her parents, who Billy Creel was and what he did to her.

More will follow...

armor looks flimsy and the shoulders look like FO3 trash.

edit: i actually wrote "shaulders"? wtf... i wasn't even drunk...

Not perfect, but I like it.
How old are you? 'Cause this reminds me of the seventies, very much so in fact. Playboy used to have inkers that applied this style to their work: lotsa lines. I kinda dig it actually. But I would add more lines.

Unless your PS is ruining my perception, ... grrr... did you draw this on patterned paper?

Eh, Maggie looks like a close-up of the female protagonist in Fallout, and decent enough.Hope to see your comics soon.

Yeah. A multi-part comic series with lotsa panels would also help to follow Wooz' recommendation to practise, eh?
Agree... :)

Ha ha, my bad. It'll be better in the comic. :)

Meggie looks too cute and clean-looking IMO.
I think so. Gotta put some lines on her face.

I'm 27. I don't know much about 70s but I'm glad you like it. I draw this way just because I have no time to make it clean :P and I'm kind of like it. It makes me feel like I'm doing casual sketch, not something serious. Just for relaxing after my day job. Actually, I'm kind of addicted 80s' sci-fi (esppecially cyborg), I grew up during that time.

Nothing's wrong with my PS but it's my painting skill that ruined your perception. And yes, I drew them on patterned paper, bad choice I know. They're all during the design process. When all characters are concluded, they will be drawn again in blank paper. :D

Thank you guys, the comic starts now...
