Fan Made Fallout had a bit of an update, announcing the addition of four new members, putting their number at 19 in total. They're still recruiting though, head over to their forums if you're interested

Most interesting was the release of this small "mingling", an interesting soundbyte, very good ambient music with lots of wind, much like the Fallout originals. I particularly like the occasional panpipe-esque sound blowing through it.

I think it sucks. That's the most God awful piece of ambient music I've ever heard. I hope the project fails.
 
That ambient sound is rather good! If you play with the URL of the sound file a bit, you get this outgoing answering machine message.

Hahaha, I did that once while in a UT mod project, and the whole team joined in bashing each other's work. :D


Oh, and the project failed allright..

Haris, this name sounds familiar, but I just don't remember right
now, wasn't there a mod, or two, from a Haris, or am I
completely wrong...
 
Remember, one of the best kept secrets of the forum is the "Search" function.

Anyway, Haris and Miran have worked on a number of mods, of questionable quality. Some examples can be found here, here, and here; but you can find much more on Haris at Duck & Cover. Haris was also banned from our forums, as you can see here.

We can always boot him off the team if he doesn't produce anything worthwhile, and who knows... he might learn something.

Exactly what he said.At least by now Haris has made a few good things for fan made fallout and hasn't post anything stupid.
 
Hey, I'm relatively pro-Haris. Say what you want and disagree with his views of the Fallout world as much as you want, but he's a good code-cruncher and one of the harder-working modders.

Just keep some of his wilder opinions about MMORPG Fallout in check
 
Haris is hard at work, and he's not bad at it. Basically working on the implementation of various assets, he's doing a good job with it as well.
 
Here's a short run-down on the funny side of FMF:
  • We've been hosted by KFC.
  • In the early days, Rosh was once going to be on the team but left when we got hosted by KFC.
  • Kotario is on the team. He was originally ostracized for being part of KFC. Kotario is now a news poster at NMA.
  • fallout ranger is on the team. Many people don't like him.
  • Haris is on the team. He's been banned from NMA.
  • The majority of current and former team members (bar a select handful) are all relatively unknown within the Fallout community. That is, no-one usually knows who the hell these people are.
My basis for letting people on the team is two-fold:
  1. If you have skills the project needs, you get to join.
  2. If you fail to use those skills, I boot you off.
All of this is held together by my abililty to be anally retentive.
