I didn't say that someone can't like Manson and Creed at the same time, just that it's unusual.

No, it can mean that it can be someones favorite band. Until I heard Ozzy's "Gets Me Through", I didn't have an opinion, now he's my favorite band or artist, or whatever.

hey just for the record despot you were the one who said they suck , you couldve just said they werent your type of music but you chose those words ..... another thing, those bands i put down , i rather have bought the album, and several of their other albums, or ive downloaded more than 75% of their songs off KazaA , please keep your generalizations to yourself.....

Why is it unusual to like said bands at the same time? Almost everyone over 18 I know likes a wide range of music, from twisted sister to gothic chanting, everyone likes a few different things.

I didnt "let it go" at his type of music... I dislike Reel Big Fish because, frankly, I think they have no talent at all, but I didnt expect him to come back with a load of insults, I expected him to come back with "Well, I like Reel Big Fish because...".

If you say that a persons favourite band can be defined by a single song, then you just reinforce what I said about the music industry...

I dont give a flying money crap if I misspelled nowerdays.

I can make all the assumptions I like and if someone is banging on about how great X band is beacuse their new song on MTV really rocked I feel justified to categorise them as an MTV junkie.

He said that he hadnt heard many other songs by whoever it was.. so I think its quite fair to say that I can guess how much hes seen of them.

The muisc industry is in a disgusting state... no matter how you define it, but I think my reasons for hating it are valid. I would probably think yours are valid too, but you dont state them.
 
I think I watch an appaling amount of television. Take Nickelback for example, I've heard only one song from them and just from that I'd put them in my top ten. If I had one dollar for every time I've heard a person sing "How you remind me" in a lesson at school then I'd definetly be rich by now.

What about the bands that only have one good track, but one *REALLY* good track?

P.S. You should not generalize people, everybody is unique, what may be true about one person based on a small piece of information is not true for everyone else.

But if I had to genralize you, I'd say you where one of those obbsessive types who hang around for hours on end just to catch a glimpse of your favorite band. Go to every concert and spend days hanging around in their fan club web sites and making yourself look like a possessed idiot.

All I can say is its a good thing I don't generalize.

Never done any of those things, fan websites... dont know any.. wouldnt go to any.. cant stand people who let music rule their lives. Hang around for hours to catch a glimpse of my favourite band? Nope.. Go home and have a beer is much prefered...

Your damn right, it is a good job you dont generalise.. your REALLY bad at it, heh.
