In no order...

Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Pirates of the Carribean
Once Upon a Time in Mexico
X2
Return of the King
28 Days Later
School of Rock
Freddy vs. Jason
Bad Boys 2

...Gigli.

I saw one movie/film in the whole of 2003. The Lord of The Rings: The Return Of The King! Bwahahahaha.
Yes, I don't go to the movie's much.

I kinda like Gigli...

But I also like to hang from meat hooks. :silly:

Here's my list- though I haven't seen many of other's top rated:
1) Lost in Translation: Bill Murray's great, but I just fell in love w/ Scarlett Johansson's character. One of the most real movies I've ever seen.
2) Return of the King- I liked the Fellowship of the Ring better, but it immerses you in a true cinematic experience nonetheless.
3) Kill Bill- Non-existent plot, but boy does the adrenaline get pumping. Best action of the year.
4) The Last Samurai - It would have been pretty good even w/o Tom Cruises character- very well made.
5) Terminator 3 - Liked it better than most people did, though it wasn't at the level or style of its predecessors. Beat my expectations.
6) Love Actually - about as subtle as a cruise ship, but still entertaining...
7) Pirates of the Caribbean- entertaining and well done, but I barely remember it anymore
8 ) Matrix Revolutions - disappointment, but some good scenes
9) Big Fish - Worth seeing if you don't mind a little suspension of belief...

Haven't seen Mystic River, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, 28 Grams, 28 days later, Cold Mountain...

When did you see Big Fish? It doesn't get released until the the 9th. I really want to go see it. Looks amazing.
I saw it on the 3rd. Maybe it's a limited release... I live in SF, CA...

Oh. Damn the Academy. They released it in LA county and surrounding areas probably just to get it in time for the Academy Awards. In order for a film to be eligible, it had to have been released by like dec. 31, 2003 in LA county. That's so gay. It should have to be released everywhere.

Pirates of the Carribean, Return of the King and Master and Commander were the only films I didn't regret shelling out $12 for.

I really recommend Master and Commaander: the far side of the world. It's gritty Hornblower style stuff starring Russel Crowe as Captain 'lucky' Jack

(3) Lost in Translation- Bill Murray is a treasure.
What, are you nuts? You actually liked Lost in Translation?
I saw it with my family when they came to visit me a few days before my 18th birthday: none of us could stand it, so we ended up leaving with a third of the movie left. Our sole consolation was that since it was a few days before my 18th birthday, I got in with a student price.

28 Days Later- I loved this flick- but it was over-hyped. The last 30 minutes blew the movie for me.
I saw the first half of that movie during Frosh Week, and then watched the second half last week. I've never done that with a horror film before - it was odd. Quite liked it, though.

#4. The rest of the movies I saw (Pirates of the Carribean, Bruce Almighty, Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions were all kind of crappy so they all get the #4 slot.)
True that. Except for about Pirates of the Carribean.

So here's my list, of all the movies that I actually ended up seeing:
1) Return of the King
2) Pirates of the Carribean
3) 28 days later
4) Bad Santa
5) Bruce Almighty
6) Matrix Reloaded
7) Lost in Translation

I can't think of anything else I ended up seeing. I must have seen something else - I'll think about it.

No one saw Master and Commander?? IF ther is no sequel, I will hunt ALL OF YOU DOWN.

I didn't yet but will wait for the vid. Heard it was quite good but I am kind of loyal to the series. Since the author died and they seemed to have mucked up the books for the movie, I lost interest.
