Favourite Fallout Location

fallout: cathedral vault, esp level 2 damn creepy atmosphere, boneyard,necropolis...god just about everywhere holds great memories

fallout 2:cafe of broken dreams

Why haven't I encountered this Cafe of Broken Dreams that seems to rock so much...

Anyway, I liked Junktown and The Den most. The Den because the devs really got its junkie-ish slummy hey-stay-away-from-me-atmosphere to go well with the wastelandish one. New Reno was really nice too, but this mafia-shit never really appealed to me - not in that setting, anyway. :?

FO1: without any doubt the LA vault. The complete and utter coolness produced by the goo, nuclear bomb, the psykers, and (obviously) the master is topped nowhere. Not in FO2, not in any game.

FO2: Sierra Army Depot for all the bitchin' holodiscs with news reports. Reno gets a prize for runners up on account of introducing the "big mobster" sprite. It might have nothing to do with fallout, but still... you know... mobsters! With tommyguns!

All the places in the game are interesting. Fallouts have such a unique atmosphere in each city. But most of all I remembered Broker Hills and Den in f2 and Junktown and Shady-Sends in f1.
And, of course, New-Reno should be manshioned - so many quests, opportunities...

its a special encounter in fallout 2, mainly invloving references to fallout

play wiht a high luck & u mite get it[/code]

The Glow and the final locations, mean Military Base and The Cathedral (especially the underground vault levels) -- I just love that post-nuclear organic & electronic mix.

And when it comes to Fallout 2... I don't really have my "the best" place. Kill me, but I think the locations there are less atmospheric than in the original. Anyway, I'm typing Sierra Army Depot. ;)

 Tha's right, Skurwy, only you forgot the Khans in Fallout1. Gawd I wish they did more with them...like the ability to join and go on raids with them

Yeah, I like it as well. Oh, as I remember the first time was really exciting, (hmm...) you know -- the first real fight and first real equipment to play with.

But unfortunately, I've never challenged nor been challenged by Garl to a fistfight. It's probably possible.

I've done it several times, in the hope that if I beat him to death I could become the leader...but it never happened :(

Couldn't Fallout 1 be patched or edited so the Khans follow your lead if you beat him, maybe even hook up with one of the raider girls.

Fallout 1: The LA Bone Yard, The Glow and Hub

Fallout 2: Sierra Army Depot, New Reno and Vault City.

if that's so then I'll be living my next fallout game as a raider
