Fight Clubbing and jobs

It Wandered In From the Wastes
Hello all. One thing I truly miss is the fightclub in fallouts 1 and 2. It would be sweet if Fallout 3 has a fightclub and vats would be very nice at capturing the moment of clocking your opponent in the face. A stable source of income would be nice too.

Come to think of it. There aren't many jobs in fallout 3. In the original fallouts you can be a prize fighter, caravan guard, drug runner, you name it. There was always a way to make a living. In fallout 3, I just scavenge for scrap metal to turn in to the water station guy in megaton. Strangely he disappeared.

My character has developed a rather profitable sideline occupation that generates a decent amount of caps. I tagged both repair and barter in character creation and raised my repair to 100 even before I got small guns to 100. What I do is to regularly use fast travel to visit all my known merchant locations. When there, in addition to buying any .308 ammo they've got, I buy any badly used lasers or other expensive equipment they might have. Expensive that is, when the equipment is in top repair. At the low quality I buy the bits, they can often be had for less than 5% of the full value. Four or five such bits (I stock them till I have enough) will allow me to resell a 100% condition item back to some merchant, netting me a tidy profit.

And rather than be a parasite upon the wasteland, I am a boon to society, doing a needful job. ;-)
