First time play mods.

First time out of the vault
My gaming-catch up list is coming along, and I've finally hit Fallout 1 on my list. I want just a bugfix vanilla experience.

1) TeamX 1.3.5 patch - Seems to be the most up to date unofficial patch. Am I wrong in this assumption? Is this the one most people use for their bugfixes?

2) The Fallout 1 High-Resolution Patch 3.0.6 doesn't state it is compatible with 1.3.5, but has anyone experience any issues?

3) What's the deal with the TeamX 1.2 patch? my version of Fallout 1 from GOG is already 1.2, isn't it?

4) Lastly, do I need the ammo patch with 1.3.5, the patch notes don't list anything about fixing problems with armor piercing ammo.

Your assumption is correct. My understanding is that most people who want a fully-patched Fallout experience use 1.2 followed by 1.3.5 -- and those who want better hireling control, will also install the NPC mod. But as far as the newest mod/patch that aims to just fix bugs, 1.3.5 is it.

Some people have issues, but the vast majority of users don't have any issues at all. You should most likely be just fine. Worst case scenario, you'll have to disable f1res. (It won't damage game files or anything like that if it glitches)

Correct, GOG is 1.2, but GOG doesn't include children because it uses the UK 1.2. So technically if you're running GOG and want a Full Fallout Experience (tm), you need to install 1.2 unofficial, the children patch, and 1.3.5
