Ok, what were your five favorite CDs of 2003. They don't have to be recent, but you did have to enjoy them the most.
 
Evanescence: Fallen
David Bowie: The Singles Vol. 1
Deadstar Assembly: Deadstar Assembly
Johnny Cash: The Man Comes Around
Orgy: Candyass

This is what I'm in to right now, and most of last year.
 
1. Sonata Arctica - Winterheart Guild
2. Mark Knopfler - Sailing to Philadelphia
3. The Eagles - The Very Best Of
4. Railroad Tycoon II Soundtrack
5. Shania Twain - Come On Over
 
I don't even buy new cds anymore. There just doesn't seem to be anything that good that comes new from the industry anymore. Maybe that's why cd sales are going down, not because of kazaa.
 
2003 wasn't a good year for music either, I think my favourites would have to be;

White Stripes - Elephant
Rolling Stones - Forty Licks
Rush - Rush in Rio

Ahm...Anyone got any suggestions?

Bad year indeed. I can think of two cds I like that came out this year:
Evanescence-Fallen
White Stripes-Elephant.

Oh yes, Fallen was pretty good, but I'm not too big on Evanescence.

PS: Mark Knopfler - Sailing to Philadelphia is from 2000. Excellent CD, though
 
I don't think i bouight 5 cds in 2003. No i did not rip them of either.

I want to get Nickelback soon

Sorry Kharn, I thought this meant the five CDs we'd listened to most in 2003. Should have layed off the rum.

I'd think and hope that a few artists are creating interesting and innovative music in some style or another, but they're definitely not getting radio time in France. Every Time I Die - Hot Damn!
 
I don't think I've bought any music that's been made since 1998, so these are all "oldies"

(4) Magnetic Fields - Distant Plastic Trees/The Wayward Bus
(5) My Bloody Valentine - Loveless

with an honorable mention going to Minor Threat.

Whoa, Montez, you posted what would have been the next five on my list. You have great taste in music.
