Floridians get blown

You perverted bastard, I know what you're thinking this thread is about.

Looks like Florida is about to get hit by another storm. This is like the fourth this year. A record? Not sure about that. Fucking up the Florida tourist economy but at least they aren't getting the wildfires they usually do.

All this weather- I think God is sending Florida a message in an election year.

For more Storm stuff- http://edition.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2004/hurricanes/

What kind of natural disasters do you get? We almost had a tornado a couple of days ago. Where my wife comes from, nothin. No earthquakes, no storms, zip. Talk about boring. Me, I like the wrath of God stuff.

Minnesota is cold. Period.

No poisonous critters, killer bees, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, mudslides or Mexicans (j/k). Only the occasional tornado and hailstorm remind of nature's fury.

Pennsylvania? Same, but a little wetter.

Hopefully Ivan will stay out in the Gulf and visit some other state. I've already missed two weeks of class for these damn storms. I'm going to be in the EMT Academy till next year if these storms keep it up...

Mohrg

Well this is Oklahoma, so tornadoes occur quite a bit during the season.

The last time tornadoes have ever caused a disaster, though, was quite a few years ago, where a series of tornadoes caused millions of damaged and ended several lives around OKC and central Oklahoma.

Its like a guy on another forum said awhile ago, "But overall, yeah, it's basically stupid that people keep living in Florida. It's a muddy, roach-infested hole in the world that God purges with divine wind every few years."

Well I blame the hurricanes on an extended hurricane season due to global warming.

My area has flooding and excessive snow and lightning...I miss California where only the massive rifts in the ground that suck whole houses in during earthquakes occasionally worried me.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

"You better evacuate, this is the worst hurricane since nam!!!" Bah, the worst i've seen down here is a few garbage cans rolling down the street...

Central Europe is a very calm place. The last volcanoes went silent sometime in the Jurassic or so, earthquakes don't exist, tiny tornadoes cause huge headlines every fifty or so years. We have been getting major flooding lately, though, in '97 and '02.

Here in Ga we have occasional tornados, which mainly hit trailer parks, but havent had that many of late.

We also get some storms from Fla.

For example Hurracaine Francis hit Ga as a tropical storm, and back not to long ago (though before FO) Hurracaine Opal was still a full hurracaine when hitting.

And Ivan is heading in my general direction too..........

My aunt is down there, not directly in the path, but it's still messing with places 100 miles away. She has to stand in line for like an hour every couple days to get some MRE's and bags of ice because there's no power. Round here I've been without power for maybe 12 hours, and that sucked.

Longest Ive lost power was 4 days when Hurracaine Opal came thru, so I really feel for the Fla people that are gona be without for ages.

last I had was a few months ago when some drunk drove into a utility pole, and messed up the lines.

3-4 hours later they fied it.

lastr I had that was over a day was back in l;ate 95, duriing hurracaine opal.
