anyone know what the problem is?

after i extracted it into the fallout 2 diectory i tried to load a slot but it just says cannot open file \data\savegame\slot05\save.dat, any help would be appreciated

oh ya im talking about the item editor.

your saved game might be corrupted. Try to save it again and see if that helps.
