[FO2] Hard Battle

Yeah...of course

Look I think this was taken way out of context, all I wanted to know was whether people actually found some hard fights.

I killed Horrigan with no problem- the gauss rifle seems to do little damadge to him, but with enough jet- you can kill him fast. plus his gun doensn't do that much damage to you... IT DOES KILL people without armor really fast tho.

And in navraro, you can snipe the turrets no prob, the bad thing is you need time to set up for a ranged attack.

Navraro can be easy depending on where you are, but it is definitly harder than Horrigan at the end.

there seems to be two different encounters.
1)they are armed with smg's and boxing gloves and such.
2)they are armed with T.Plasma rifles,YK rifles and mega power fists.

If the robbers aren't fighting you guys I tend to think your charactor is too powerful.Have you edited your game with a character editor?
The reason I ask is because sometimes when I use one I noticed that a lot of enemy wouldn't fight.I wasn't cheating when met the latter(2) above and they kicked ass!Taking sevral rounds from a YK rifle is not fun!<G>

Outside Navarro can be a real pain with a melee character. I got chewed to bits by those turrets trying to clear it out with a melee character. Frankie is also fairly tough without the turrets. The very first time I played, I didn't get the pass, so I charged him, guns blazing. I never knew 100+ stimpacks could go so quickly. :)

I also encountered that robber cave with all the YK energy weapons and other cool stuff. They were all armed with combat armor, various energy weapons, and mega fists. I managed to beat them down slowly. I would fight a bit, then exit the cave, and come back later.

Just thought of another challenging fight if you get the encounter early enough.King Aurthur and his Knights are well armed and they sequence fast.They had 2 turns to every 1 of mine last time I fought them without cheating.

While the final battles are pretty messy, some of the random encounters can really suck depending on your level. I kept running into the "last ranks of the masters army" when it was just me and sulik. Even the battle to take vault 15 was a bit of a bother at the earlier levels, because everyone and their mother comes running up and surrounds you in seconds.


Probably the worst battle in the game tho is turning the robots on in the lower levels of the Army Depot. I have gone back in there with charactors that could beat the game, and still gone down. Its the F---ing missle robots, they plague me so. I have never had the forsight to build a charactor with a good throwing arm, so pulse granades never work out... its evil.
