[FO2] Skynet not levelling properly.

Hello there, I already searched the forum looking for a similar problem but it doesn't seem to be very common.

When I recruit Skynet and proceed to farm experience points to level him up he levels up nicely at first glance, white font commentary and all but the thing is, whenever I get out of the map and arrive to another his hit points reset to 115.

The strange thing is that when he levels up again his HP raises properly, like this:

first time levelling up:
from 115 to 121 (or someting can't remember)

enters different area and resets to 115. Then:

second time:
from 115 to 141 (or whatever)

and resets again to 115 (and so on).

This is really annoying, being Skynet my favorite NPC in the whole game (Videogame caring potential at the maximum).

Is there any patch or anything that can fix this?
 
Maybe try killap's unofficial patch unless you already have it. Otherwise I don't know...
 
Check to see if you have a file called 00000079.pro in your ...\data\Proto\Critters folder, if so the delete it and Skynet will level normally the next time he levels.
 
What does that file mean, and why is so safe to delete it?

EDIT: Oh by the way, that file I have it but it's not in critters, it's in the items folder.
 
Do not remove the 00000079.pro file in the items folder! They are not the same.
Basically, you've got those files for every item, every critter, every scenery etc. inside the master.dar file.
00000079.pro in the critter folder is for Skynet's first stage.
00000079.pro in the items folder is for the flare.

Anyway, an NPC's first stage proto file should only exist inside the master.dat file and not in the ...\data\Proto\Critters folder, as that will lead to a bug where the NPC will always reset to his first level.

But since you don't have that file there something else is the problem.
I don't know what at the moment but would suggest you search this forum. I'm sure it's come up before.

Strangley enough, this is the first playthrought in which Skynet levels up properly in my computer.

I didn't erase anything in the critters folder, but I did a recent clean re-install and installed killap's and the newest sfall in that order.

Hmph.

Oh well, I'm loving it.
