Vault in Toxic Caves, how do I get in?

After finding the guy in the toxic caves I wanted to get into the vault that's down there. I got the generator started and the elevator says I need a some sort of electronic device. This is really bothering me. I tried using the yellow pass key I found by the chopper in Klamouth too.

You have to use the electronic lockpick to pick the elevator door =) NOTHING to spectacular down there but pretty good stuff,and you better make sure your decently equipped because theres a robot down there with rockets!
