FO3 engine, new art

Actualy, if they make it seem the same mostly, itll be good.

None of the half assd spinnoffs (see: Fallout:Craptics, and Fallout:PoS) even played like the previous games. Craptics came somewhat close, but all the bugs and ignoring of the FO atmosphere (see:Power Armor with freaking antlers, I think anyone with that in an avatar should be banned).

That said, the Elder Scrolls series has always belonged to Bethesda, so they always treat it with kid gloves. However Im hopeful that theyll do FO right, though not too hopeful, Ive learned that lesson by wasting $$$ on Craptics.

Well i`m keeping an eye on it, it`s starting to sound like a graphically intensive Gothic2 meets Dagerfall type of game, it might turn out to be interesting, but it´s too soon to say.

Still in here i`ll call the tools "Fallout3 engine" just because i feel like saying it :)

It's defiantly a couple of steps up from Morrowind, hell if it wasn't for Morrowinds plot I wouldn't even call it a good game at all, as for the new Elder Scrolls, all the luck to them.

I also have silent storm, but compared to fallout it is still lightyears away from it's quality. Plus I think 2D is the only way Bethesda can actually create anything close to Fallout 2's detail.
And you think you can have more detailed graphics and effects in 2D than in 3D?

The Oblivion engine does look pretty, but don't you guys think it would be alot of works to use a colossal engine meant for 1st person gameplay and make into a 3rd person isometrical game with a completely different combat system? I'm no programmer, but I'm pretty sure the game would be glitchy as fuck (which Bethesda's games already are known to be)

Maybe Bethesda -and Fallout- would be better off with a engine that was actually -meant- for a game like F3?
