Fallout and Fallout 2 were modest sellers. They were profitable, but not grand slam hits by any means. I loved Fallout and Fallout 2. A lot of the guys around BIS (especially Chris Avellone) and a lot of people here, on Vault13, at Duck and Cover, and No Mutants Allowed, have had terrific ideas for Fallout 3.* I've said it before: we would really love to do Fallout 3. We talk about it often, we write things up, and we hope that we'll have the opportunity to make it in the future. Like I said, though, we need a solid amount of time and manpower to get the job done right. Fallout/SPECIAL is Black Isle's most popular self-owned property, and if we make another sequel, we must try to exceed the quality presented in Fallout and Fallout 2.
* However, a lot of them are also completely out of their mind."

I spotted this in the BIS forums

Um, he is just telling us what we want to hear. Until I will have a solid information about FO3 being in production, it's just another nonobligatory flattery.

zero-x's bitter words after his encounter with roshambo:

"I agree with you but there comes a fuckin point i dont know who roquirbo thinks he is but I at least you didnt really criticize me and i appreciate that i hate people who fuck with my ideas when i didnt say shit to em and yes he is the kind of guy i would take a scalpel tear his head open the take an hammer use the end to samsh through the medulla and use the nail pull as a pry to pull back the top of the skull revealing a brain (small but brain nontheless)and take desert eagle magnum and blow it through his fucking spine as he still breath and then rip out his heart and show him how black it is before he dies but as you said thats illegal well cya"

Been said as well by the notorious carrot-waver and trendy guy a while back too.

More reference, look on the T-A.com boards for that thread.

:)

Question :

Are (were) any GOOD ideas being listed ? I reckon that in the end when FO3 is announced and I'm 40, it's gonna be one hell of a job to cut trough all the rubbish and find some useful ideas wich we can use to bomb the Interplay boards with.
