Hey Odin, when I have my SN set to automatically login, new threads do not show up as new. It is like they are staying as all read. I hope that made sense.

I would advise you to clear you browsers cache (cookies, temp files) and try again.

It still only works sometimes and not all the time, even after clearing the cache, etc.

Edit: Shit, the forums will not let my delete this post to edit my post before this one. Eh, it has been two days so I hope the double post is ok, sorry. Next time I guess I will delete both and make a new post with the two merged so it shows up as a new post.

Really can't understand why you get this, let's see:

1. Close down all browsers windows
2. clear the cache, cookies, temp files
3. try again

if that doesn't work what other programs are you using ? firewalls? proxy ? etc..

I tried all of that. The good news is that now it seems to be working. Before I do not think I got the black arrows with the yellow page next to new posts to let me know they were new. I think I just got the lit up nuclear sign on only SOME of the posts, if that is even possible. I will see if it works now. I think restarting my computer fixed it. I rarely turn off or restart my computer. lol

Edit: Still only works sometimes. O well, I am pretty used to it by now.

Do you visit the front page alot ? ie before going to the forums ?

Yes I do visit the NMA homepage before going to the forums. I will try bypassing the main page and go directly to the forums and see if that changes anything. Thank you very much for your help Odin. I will hopefully update this post soon.

I'm going to install a mod called "Keep Unread Flags" which should fix this problem, when visiting the front page before the forum. But it's really a big mod so I've put it off, due to other factors.

I'm going to look at this mod later this week.

IT WORKS! Going directly to the forums by bypassing the main page works. Thank you. Why does it do that (I know very little about how websites and or forums work)? Thanks again for your help Odin.
