Game Developers and NMA

Still Mildly Glowing
I was just thinking about how many people post on this board and sometimes posts by some of the users and the skills they have reflect game developers. Its amazing wondering how much game developers could be browsing this forum and posting under different code names. I wonder if any developer from Fallout comes on here and pokes fun at Fallout 3. Do we really know who Roshambo is. I know I don't. But hes a programmer and has extensive knowledge of Fallout. I'm sure this accusation has been put forth before. Anyhow, anyone feel what I'm saying? I wonder if any user from NMA works at any newer gaming company and continues to post on here because they were fans of the Post Apocalyptic genre and still true the website "that brought them everything Fallout". Ya' digg?

most gaming dev houses prevent or have a rule against devs posting on msg boards relating to their field.

Considering this is the internet, rules like those don't hold.

A number of game developers post here occasionally and publically, whenever a relevant topic comes up for them. A handful of others post here secretly, but are sometimes spotted by the admins (not that that's anyone else's business). A lot of indie devs post here.

And a lot of people browse, including Bethesda's people.

That's it. Not sure why this'd be a relevant topic.

Understand you mate. Of course there are people from Bethesda etc following this site. Why wouldn't there be? NMA has become a part of the F3 before it has even come out.

I just think thats really cool. I mean do HALO developers talk on HALO fan sites? I don't think so. I was just impressed that NMA has such a following. I can easily understand considering I like this site. But you know what I mean. I really do wonder who Roshambo is though. He seems to know a lot about games and programming. :)

AFAIK he outed himself as being a former Origin dev who worked on the Ultima series.

QA guy, actually, not dev, at least as far as I know.

He's also working on some game now. No idea what game or where.
