*gasp* MrMattysPlays being critical of Bethesda?

Wait, are you serious?

I stopped watching him, because he was so biased towards them I couldn't stand it anymore. I honestly gave up on him.

Still, he did not change it seems if at the end he decided to do damage control.

I hope he grows up and becomes critical of them, before that I will keep ignoring him and just stay with MisterCaption.

I wonder, when will the rest of the people wake up?

I think if there were maybe 5-10 settlements to manage, and maybe they were a bit bigger and had more personality to them it might have been better, at least for me. Scattering them all over the map with a clunky building interface was exhaustive.

just stay with MisterCaption.
Lazy ass. 3 week for a rant video with some "shitty edit"(c)Himself

BTW, derail time. What's your most favorite critique material? Text review/video review/twitch stream/podcast, doesn't matter.
Mine is RPGCodex's "13 Facts about FO4"
Followed by lazycaption's Fallout 4 review. Especially valuable since it's 7 days after the release.

I wish someone took the olympic fire and really deconstruct the game to the ground. 'Cause there's lots of material left.

I will not deny that, but I have yet to find anyone that would be even near as critical or good as he is.

To answer your question I enjoy most his critiques about games, since they are great.

If there was someone like this I would be delighted.

I definitely can not count on MATN, since his playthroughs through Farcryout 4 only proves that he cannot be objective for shit.

Nope

After reading the store's game descriptions, he praises Fallout 4 as "something that has influenced the industry "

Yeah, I stopped ages ago as well, Youtube just recommended it in the sidebar so I figured I'd check it out :)

Well it has influenced the industry - it has influenced RPG developers by showing them exactly how NOT to make a Fallout RPG.

If I remember correctly, Witcher devs used Skyrim's boring, dumbed down writing/characters as an example of what NOT to do when making Witcher 3.

You should watch DWTerminator's video for that, then. It's 2 hours nonstop of a review, though because I watched in on its release day and it's THAT long I can't even remember what points he'd made.

Also try to watch Joseph Anderson's analysis on Fallout 4, but take his words with a pinch of salt since he said he haven't played Fallout 1 and 2, and claimed he will never be.

I haven't watch that video since I really didn't want to give him any view, but Fallout 4 did influenced the industry, for better (people realize that's not how you make a game, not how you're going to treat your modding community, not how you make DLCs, and especially not how you make an RPG), or for worse (every game developers, from big to small, from now on and onward are going to follow in the footsteps of Bethesda by making games that's 'inspired' by Skyrim and Fallout 4. Fuck, even Feargus Urquhart admitted he wanted to make a game like Skyrim).

I really like this Fallout 4 Steam Review:

Honestly? My own rants.

Second to that? Nothing really. I mean, nothing "professional" or whatever. I enjoy reading other people's detailed criticisms on this site but I don't really care for going out of my way to find a video criticizing Fallout 4 when the guy/gal is just going to bring up the same shit we've been regurgitating over and over at this very forum. I just find that to be a waste of time. At least here I can interact with the other people who criticize stuff.

There is really no one out there (youtube or whatever) who is on the same wavelength as me with their cynicism and bitterness. Either they're tryhards who hate everything or they are very choosy with what they'll skullfuck and what they'll give a pass on, sometimes to the point of coming across as total fucking hypocrites.

As to the ever so sexual Big Matty, so he finally has some criticism? Long overdue. But nothing is perfect and eventually you'll have to come to terms with it and admit it. I'm not really that interested in that he has 'some' criticism, I'll be more interested once the blinders come off of his eyes and he starts to tear into Fallout 4 like he 'should'. Until then I just find it a bit silly that we hold him so highly that once he makes a bit of criticism it is worth discussion. Like, come on guys, it's not like he's suddenly frothing at the mouth in pure rage as he realizes all the problems with Fallout 4 and starts to rally with the rest of us "haturz". So I don't really see what else there is to say about this. He's finally bringing up a good piece of criticism. Good. Now what?

What is even the appeal of these kind of videos? What is the value of watching some annoying cunt shill for bethesda? Even if you're a beth fan what's the purpose besides circlejerking bethesda a little bit more? Do they need someone to tell them how they should think about their games for them?

Yeah, but he means in a completely positive way, influent like Half-Life, Penumbra, Doom, System Shock, etc.

Seen that, even brought earlier, he mostly rants on the terrible gameplay (scratching the surface pieces although brings something interesting from time to time) and doesn't much communicable. And terribly put together since there's no script at all.
Also try to watch Joseph Anderson's analysis on Fallout 4, but take his words with a pinch of salt since he said he haven't played Fallout 1 and 2, and claimed he will never be.
As long as New Vegas took into account, I'm fine. Though it'll be funny if Fallout 3 fan would tear FO4 apart.
Focused on the story but dropped several plot holes, not much about gameplay.

That's rich. But I can only salute you if you can sit through this subtle realistic lore expanding script and fun gayumplay more than two hours to gather material to write.
There is really no one out there (youtube or whatever) who is on the same wavelength as me with their cynicism and bitterness.
And sadly not much out there on the same wave about lore and suspension of disbelief aspect. Like the story with the Jet, everyone just post the same bullshit (lolretconned from Fallout2) but never tries to understand that it's bullshit not only from just the lore but also not very believable that someone would bring half-assed hand-crafted drug with other 'supposedly-cool' stuff into the vault. And the fact that Jet is bullshit on itself.
 Lousy New Vegas imposter? Finally someone got it.
That's sums everything up pretty well. I've seen others reacted similar.
P.S.
"The game's great. I just hope that one day someone (Obsidian) picks this game up and stamps some interesting quests onto this."
Damage control much? :smug:

I think you just answered your own question there.

It's nothing more than clickbait video spam, and it's not even good clickbait spam.

The videos are like: "Pete Hines ate pancakes for breakfast today. Does this mean Fallout 5 takes place in Chicago?" and he'll get like 100,000 views from idiots. Good for him for cashing in on the hype I guess?

I'm starting to see him become more critical of Bethesda, even if it is very slow.
Anyway, someone was saying about how there aren't that many youtubers expansively shitting on Bethesda?
Well *shameless plug* I've done a few videos on Fallout 4, they aren't very good through.
But I do plan on doing a very expansive review of Fallout 4 in the next few months (after I spoken about New Vegas and the rest of the series, it's basically my closer on the whole Fallout saga before I move onto other topics).

Screw that shit, what do I see in the recommended videos?

Bethesda looking into buying Obsidian?
I know that would be the best bet to get Obsidian to develop the next Fallout game, and Bethesda has been doing good as a publisher, but still... Kinda doesn't feel right.

Nah, less chances than if Paradox would buy Obsidian since they worked together so good.

Well, just cause Bethesda gives an offer it doesn't mean Obsidian 'has' to take it, right? I mean, ultimately it is up to the people at Obsidian who to sell themselves to.
