General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

There was a time I would have been hyped for a Battlefield game but Battlefield Vagina put an end to that. what a shit fucking game that was.
This one is so much better, they slowed down the speed of combat compared to the beta. It's so much more enjoyable.

I am currently playing Atomfall. Despite that it is called the 'British Fallout' the gameplay couldn't be more different.
Its an action-survival game with a crafting system that allows you to craft various items such as bandage and grenades once you have found the recipe.

Unlike Fallout you won't be compelled to take on three or four bandits on your own at the start of the game as that would be suicidal as you are very weak against melee attacks and ranged attacks. Trust me that you won't want to engage a bandit armed with a standard shotgun at close range.
Melee combat is a bit tricky as when you can hit the enemy, the enemy can hit you too and being hit by a cricket bat in the face is not something you just shrug off. Unfortunately there is no block button, just a kick to force a character backwards.
On the plus side headshots really count unlike Fallout. If you have a decent powerful gun, one shot to the head is usually fatal. But that counts for you as well so be careful.

It is sort of a PA game so perhaps we should make a review of it for the website.

I am playing my way through Heretic, and soon to be Hexen via the remasters; so far so good. I never completed Heretic, though I did complete Hexen without a walkthrough. I suppose these are my favorite Bethesda games ~technically.

Dang, you're bringing up some old stuff. Still have memory of my dad telling me about Hexen. He got single digit frames out of it back then. I need to tell him theres a remaster.

I've played Quake (1) from evening to Sun up, but I cannot play Quake 2 for even nine minutes due to the effects of simulator sickness.

I can play Quake 3 & 4, just not Quake 2. :(

Huh! I'm sorry for your loss.

I don't know if it's actually good but Quake 2 was my first FPS so I've played it a lot since I was like 9 years old. I love the weapons arsenal and the enemy rooster.

The new enhanced version is pretty good and comes with some new content. Maybe that removes the motion sickness?
