I've always been fascinated by this duality: on one hand they gave us FO & FO2, and on the other is pretty much everything after that. Did the devil come to collect in the meantime, did they mutate beyond recognition, what made them turn to the dark side?

We do have archived news on this site. I also thought Brian Fargo's leaving and Herve Caen's mismanagement of IPLY was fairly well reported around the industry. Plus the drama around BIS, the slacking quality controls by new management, etc.

Really I blame business and profit motive, but thats easy to say.
