I've long maintained that if we as a civilization can come to a general accord on things like standards of weights and measure, it's high time we get our digits out of our colons and designate a Universal Sarcasm Font.

As to GRA, I don't get the hubbub. It's not like Obsidian is going to start limiting themselves exclusively to junk DLC if this is successful. It's a little bit of content for a little bit of money, and Sawyer's already given his reasons for wanting to put it out. If you see the appeal, buy it. If not, does it cheapen your gaming experience that some completionist somewhere (or, again, deprived console gamers everywhere) payed five bucks for these guns? Yeah, it sucks that the "non-unique variants of unique weapons" count towards the final tally, but whaddayagonnado? Shouldn't be too many of those, anyway.

Whether I get GRA is going to depend entirely on what weapons it adds to the game. If any of them can provide any sort of novel experience-- especially if they expand the options an explosives-based character has to choose from-- I'll skip out on some checkout counter impulse buy the next I'm at the supermarket and put the money towards this instead.

Not really holding my breath in anticipation for the yanks to adopt metrics brah

*General* accord. There are, of course, unaccountable holdouts here and there, but they aren't typically as important as they like to think they are, and aside from a few poor innocent space probes and some confused schoolchildren and tourists, no one's affected one way or the other by their stubbornness

Yeah.

Seriously, it's Poe's Law.

You can't tell if someone is being sarcastic/satirical unless they go out of their way to point that out.

Which ruins the point of being sarcastic/satirical in the first place.

Indeed. Which is why god invented smilies. But I hate smilies. Ya just can't win on the interweb it seems.

And there are tons of things you can edit the "This Machine" non-unique. Can effect magazine size, barrel, scope since the M1 Granada was also used as a sniper rifle. Can effect spread can effect damage. Kinda like making it a less expensive marksman option to the Hunting rifle. Maybe do more damage for less ammo? or slightly reduced accuracy or more expensive to maintain. Plus you can make a WW2 character yeppie!

Actually, it can if you use italics, but I'm sure you geniuses knew that. 8-)

But then you just go looking like a wanker.

I don't get how This Machine can get more generic. It will be worth getting GRA just to see that.

How exactly is it generic? For being a specific gun?

Also, if you're going to act all smug over your choice of weights and measures, you should know you automatically loose for using a base-ten system. If ain't a power of two, it ain't shit.
