Gun

Maybe the joypad controls worked better than the mouse & keyboard controls. My experience has been that the controls are poor to very poor. It's a constant effort to make sure the camera never enters the 180 degrees in front of the player character so the left and right don't suddenly reverse.

Also bad: Quickdraw Mode, which I can only assume is similar to VATS. With your six-shooter you can slow down time in short bursts. This means you can kill ten enemies charging at you with ease, and also shoot arrows out of the sky, which made me do this:

Also really bad: tons of missions that are just, "Kill the Indians." If I were an Apache I'd be pretty insulted by this game. Apaches are GUN's orcs.

The setting is pretty good though. Riding your horse around in an Old West scenario is fun, even if the rest of the game is lackluster.

I recently read a review for Red Dead Redemption. Apparently it is pretty good. Much longer than 6 hours that's for sure. Can anyone who has played it recommend it? This thread made me realize I havent played too many western themed games. (if you dont count FNV)

Red Dead Redemption is really really good. Go play it.

As for GUN, it was fun mostly because it was a Western game. Everything about it was kinda shit, though.

Red Dead Redemption is amazing, great story and an equally great multiplayer.

I still have yet to play Red Dead Revolver, anyone play that who can tell me if it's worth the 10 bucks?
