Happy 2010

09 was a decent enough year, and I enjoyed the past 10 years for the most part. DIdn't party at all last night though... was in bed about 11:00 PM.

It also depends on your standards, rcorporon.
But if you're saying so, it doesn't matter for me.

I was planning to have a wild night with my ex, but it did not work. Happily for few reasons.
Now I'm watching old Star Wars and between that playing Cities XL.
Figured watching Star Wars every year is my routine now.

I'd say the 2000's have not been much fun. The whole 9/11, Bush, Iraq disaster; the massive tsunamis (one of which was the 5th deadliest natural disaster in human history), hurricanes, earthquakes and deadly blizzards; the bloody conflicts in Africa and hostage crises in Russia (Beslan); stock market crash and the global economic crisis; Steven Seagal debuts two music albums; swine flu; deaths of artists we grew up with; etc, etc, etc,

How about a 2009 recap?

It's been a crazy year.

A new black president.

World wide Recession.

Plenty of famous deaths, not the least of which is MJ.

Copenhagen reveals that we aren't ready to sacrifice our way of life for carbon emissions.

People lost jobs, money and homes. Some went crazy and started shooting people.

Tis a year for musicals, reality tvs and blockbuster movies that try to shake us off of our stupor and get us to feel better about ourselves.

Politicians around the world struggled, and many government changed hands. Bush stepped down, LDP lost seats and PM, Liberals in Canada still can't figure out how to be a opposition party, TW's New president of hope from KMT lost face badly in the new mayoral elections and his incompetence is showing, China's Beijing party maybe losing its status if the after Olympics glow isn't so shiny anymore, etc, etc.

So, it's the year of change, of fear, of chaos, of loss of freedom, of triumphs, of losses, of tragedies, and lots of others that are too numerous to mention.

Any predictions for 2010 here?

Well, personally, I hope to keep this fitness goal. Get a new tv and camera. Fix my laptop. Organize my blog and start the new one. And get on my way with a New degree. Maybe finish a few games I have laying around too. And be more knowledgeable about drinks and food. Oh, finish 1 or 2 books I have laying around. :P

Hhha, I know this one. Except for shooting people :P

Adding to that, lost of Poles decided to go back to Poland, for reasons unknown. actually, reasons are there are good paid jobs there, but that's just a seld-propaganda IMO. Most of them will get back to UK anyway, within 2 years I presume. But I don't care about that.

Yeah i've heard that jobs are starting to improve over there, but it maybe that the much maligned propaganda machine of such nations has just wormed its way into our society of pseudo democracy.
