HDTV owners get royal screwjob

House of Flying Daggers and Zhang Yimou in general is genius.

Haven't seem that one; I seem to recall it being a critical rather than commercial success over here but I'm not sure. I just looked up some still frames of it and it does look like a movie that would actually be worth watching on a really good tv though. 1 out of 15 isn't quite enough incentive to get me to buy a few thousand in new hardware though.

The Fifth Element was also a work of art. I mean c'mon, Chris Tucker... A Knight's Tale wasn't such a disaster either. It wasn't made to be historically accurate, after all.

I loved it, but I'd imagine every other videophile who loves it has it on Ac3 Laserdisc like I do, and probably DVD (like I don't), and even maybe (S)VHS and doesn't want a 3rd/4th copy. I've never found LD quality lacking, though.

a knights tale aims specifically to not be historically accurate... thats one of the things that makes it enjoyable for me... they blatantly try not to be.
