[HELP] NEED EXPERIENCED MODDER - EXIT GRIDS

ENT

First time out of the vault
MAIN PROBLEM: I can't leave the NUKA-COLA PHIL special encounter because the exit grid is broken.

SOLUTION A: Insert 'exit grid'/'leavepoint' zone in missionZ14.mis using FALLOUT TOOLS.

SOLUTION B: Insert trigger in missionZ14.mis that forces player to world map using FALLOUT TOOLS

PROBLEM: I don't know how to do either A or B

Yes, latest patch
Yes I've read the editor README (where relevant)
Yes I've searched NMA and DAC forums
Yes I've spent a good deal of time trying to figure this out before I came here
Yes I've slapped my dick across the keyboard, didn't fix anything

TRIED AND FAILED:
- Tinker with the zone 'LeavePoint'... I clicked 'EXIT ON' in the TOOLS menu. I don't know how to add a trigger to a zone (a trigger like "Adios").
- Place tiles (I used GENERIC TILES->GENERIC FLOORS->DIRT TILES) on map, set "Adios" trigger (I think, whatever I did made the added tiles green like an exit grid) and clicked 'EXIT ON' in the TOOLS menu.
- Stretch the 'LeavePoint' zone over the added tiles
- Set "Adios" trigger condition to 'ALWAYS'

NOTE: The "Adios" trigger is the trigger that checks if all squad-mates are on the exit grid and sends you to the world map.

pls halp, am not mutant

This always works:

Condition = human has all alive at exit grid
Action = end mission (world map)

Sorry, but this doesn't help

Those are the original conditions of the "Adios" trigger

I looked at the the file missionZ14 and it appears they forgot to add an exit trigger.

The Method mentioned by :noisist: should work. I would add though, to make sure to click on 'preserve' in the top right corner. This is a problem on another special encounter map. (I believe the Brothers Grimm map).

Are you playing in tough guy or not?

If you aren't in tough guy and you saved on the bogus missionZ14 then you are locked into the corrupt file and you will have to reload an earlier save and start over.

Thanks for the reply, I really appreciate it.

And no, not tough guy, this is my first play through. It's a shame I won't be able to finish the game - but it's treated me well and it was damn good too (more entertaining and challenging than F1/F2 in my eyes).

Thanks again.
