First time out of the vault
im a fallout veteran i grew up playin what feels like the golden age of pc rpgs (baldurs gate, icewind dale, planescape, fallout 1 and 2 etc) i played them all and loved both fallouts dearly though i particularly loved fallout 2.
Anyway my question about fallout 3 (among many) is who is doing the music for the game? if i recall both original had very cool and sometimes creepy atmospheric audio. and from what ive seen in the videos that same fallout feel of wondering the wastes with creepy tribal music isnt there...
secondly this may be an utterly newb question but can you have a party like the old games or do you just get dog meat?

The music composer is Inon Zur, who also did Fallout: Tactics. The composer of the originals was Mark Morgan, but he's out.

Inon has some Fallout experience and his style is somewhat like Morgan's at times, only slightly less atmospheric and more bombastic. You can find samples here

In Fallout 3 you can have 1 companion to go along with Dogmeat, so a maximum of 2 total.

thanks for the info :). a bummer to hear about no party's i can see why given the system but i really loved that aspect of fallout getting such an eclectic band of travelers together.
yea mark made music for planescape too which if i recall was very moody and atmospheric too,too bad he is out on fo3.
i was also kinda bummed they took out groin shots heh, along with some of the more provocative things in fallout like becoming a prostitute etc...hopefully they keep some of that stuff.

yea i figured thats why im preparing to build a new pc which i have not done for about 4 years or so just for this game. i have a 360 but i cant deny all the immediate patches and mods there will be.

well if i recall in oblivion i could put other mp3's in the folder for the game soundtrack, which was neat. hopefully there will be a similar thing for fallout 3 and i can import some of F1 and F2 music to it
