Holy molies Batman!

Flake

It Wandered In From the Wastes
This is Batmans new ride, it looks different to say the least.

I just hope that the afterburner doesnt have the zippo effect that the previous versions had.

Technically, it's Batman's old ride.

And I think this movie will be good.

Seems like the cross between the standard batmobile and that monstrosity in Dark Knight Returns. Is this movie Year One, or the other one??

Batman Begins. Starting from scratch.

Christian Bale is Batman/Bruce
Michael Caine is Alfred
Villains - Scarecrow and Raza Al-Ghul (or something like that), and the Joker is supposed to make an appearance

Ah ok, this is the Nolan one. Aronofsky is doing Batman: Year One I think, or has that been shelved? Don't know too much about Batman Begins, but the Year One comic series was great. I wonder how they're going to stop the two from being too similar?

No, Darren Aronofsky was dropped as the director for Batman 5 AKA Batman Begins. Nolan picked it up. Aronofsky is working on the screen-rendering of the Lone Wolf and Cub comic books, and announced Flicker as well.

PS: did you ever see the cast of Batman 5? Trés scary, trés famous names:

Ken Watanabe .... Ra's Al Ghul
Michael Caine .... Alfred Pennyworth
Katie Holmes .... Rachel Dodson
Cillian Murphy .... Dr. Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow
rest of cast listed alphabetically
Christian Bale .... Bruce Wayne/Batman
Morgan Freeman .... Lucius Fox
Liam Neeson .... Henri Ducard
Gary Oldman .... Lt. James Gordon

Ken Wanatabe 's from the Last Samurai

And while I think Nolan could do a good job at catching Batman's typical "dark knight" atmosphere of old, I have some fear that he'll try to add the "Nolan's an alternative director lewl"-touch I have come to fear from him (Memento sucked, for all clarity)...

Goyer's got the script. I really don't like Goyer

Ah ok... I don't see a Selina Kyle, so it probably doesn't have anything to do with Year One. Too bad...

I had heard Christian Bale would the next Batman- good thing though, because one of the other names was Jake Gyllenhaal... :puke:

I kinda liked Memento. In any case, I'm just happy that they don't seem to be drawing on the old 60s TV show for material anymore. I told myself I wouldn't watch any more Batman movies after seeing the preview for 3, and yet somehow, to my dismay, I ended up seeing all of them.

Hrmm, I did some snooping around- seems they can't be a Year One like I originally heard because Catwoman has her own movie (which I'm sure is going to suck).

Considering the director, it'll be a grand visual stunt with little content. His older work, Vidocq, was a lot of fun though

And Halle Berry in that suit...I fucking hate Halle, but I wouldn't be male if that didn't get some kind of...rise out of me

From Ain't It Cool News:

This is the vehicle that's described in the Goyer script. This is The Tumbler, built as a bridging vehicle for the military, then never used. Goyer describes it the first time we see it as "a cross between a Lamborghini Countach and a Humvee. Sandy camouflage, stealthangled panelling and variable-angle flaps across the back." It can do a rampless jump at 100 mph. It was built by the Applied Research branch of Wayne Corp., which is how Bruce Wayne stumbles across it. He modifies it a bit, and the result is the thing that's already being so hotly debated by fans. It's a real-world vehicle, practical rather than "cool," and that's a pleasant surprise. And look closely at that glass pod between those front wheels. That comes into play during one of the script's coolest and most original action beats.

I'm not that big a fan of the suit, but if they tell it right, she does start out as a prostitute.

And Halle Berry is hot. Especially in "The Program". Actually, any movie she has longer hair in...

That's gonna suck.
Sir Michael Caine has very ...limited... acting abilities.

Briosafreak is so gonna kill you for that one.

Did you see the original Get Carter? The Quiet American?

Not that I know of, but every acting role I've seen him in is practically indistinguishable from the others.

I`m not! Just yet

Now seriously he has some bad acting, like in the movie that gave him the Oscar (still can`t believe that...) many so so things, where he seems to do the same role over and over again, and some fantastic roles, like the ones Kharn said and another one, maybe The Whistle Blower, i really don`t remember if it was that one.

Correct me if im trés wrong but didint Michael Caine play in the movie "He will be king"? That was a trés good movie. Im not trés exited about the new Batman movie, but ill probably go and see it since it will get trés much hype.
