Fallout is great game, but i think this idea will bring F2 closer to... well ideal.
Somewhere in the centre of World Map someone could create location, which can be seen when Chosen One destroy Enclave(After finishing movie). I think player earn reward of something like home/base(i was inspirated by such games like Ultima Online or Suikoden). When we leave tanker, somebody's waiting at the coast(polish word is "molo"). That NPC give us a Quest & show new location(see Wright showing us Sierra Army Depot location). Example of Quest: Super mutants are feed on local squatters/pedestians, which live nearby. LITERALLY! Those Mutties are cannibals, which eats nearby residents. Chosen Onewithout problem take care about problem(i see scene such scene. When last Mutant fall dead, from cages run out people. Above them levitate words of gratefulness for Our Hero). But few people didn't leave the place. A merchant (maybe random chance to obtain that chips, which raise attributes. Chance to obtain? 1/100... 1/50 that he has something like that, when our character will visit him.). Plus Stimpacks, ammo, and chance to obtain rare weapons.
Who else stay in location. Fuel-man - sells cells for our car(in my case that's truck). I dream about mod with eighteenwheeler, or with one of this old fancy cars which are part of landscape.
And the house, of course! Maybe tiny shiny little script in which our hero are relaxing, after he save the world, with his wife/husband(MODDERS, BEWARE: When you start this part of mode, think about sexual minorities! For me, personally, I prefer - nomen omen - mutation with asian girl
). And some good sfx! You can rip sounds from brothel in Jagged Alliance2, for example
Furniture... Lockers! Lots of 'em, because my npc's are bowing to the ground!(Too many items)
About that sex - mode... Sex on sand may be romantic, but... ehh... Bed will be useful
